How many BX owners are there?

I think Skeets made an accurate observation. I believe the folks who own bigger tractors are more prone to tear into them while the BX owners probably expect them to be like cars and just fuel and go. As far as Harleys go, how many owners actually work on their bikes? My shovel was pretty...

Will an LA403 4 pin attachment fit on an LA332?

I know nothing. I suggest you take some width measurements and pin diameter measurements. That should tell the story.

1997 Kubota G1900 cranks but no start.

Make sure your air filter is clean. If the unit uses glow plugs be sure they're good. Diesels can get cranky in cool weather.

What are you using to clean up after oil change

Re: Waht are you using to clean up after oil change I commonly use Gunk spray on degreaser. It sits for about ten minutes then rinses off with water. Of course you could just use a solution of dish washing detergent in warm water. I believe you're right on brake cleaner being too harsh.

how to check compression on glow plug ports

Removal of all the glow plugs will allow the engine to spin faster resulting in higher, more consistent, and more accurate readings. While working on the engine you may wish to check valve lash at the rocker arms. If the spacing there is set correctly it may improve your starting.

    Rip Off

The price was not at all unreasonable for the service rendered. That's the reason I do as much stuff as I can myself. You should be glad the guy had the correct part with him rather than making another trip and charging for the second trip, too.

    L3200 Tachometer Reading Wrong Sporadically

Pull the inner cable out. Clean it well and inspect it carefully. If it seems in good condition you can just try lubricating it as Dave suggested. That may clear your problem. Make sure the outer cable is not pinched anywhere or bent around a tight corner somewhere.

    L35 Engine valve adjustment

Some guy named Cheekme had the same issue recently on Tractor by Net. You could flip through that information for ideas. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/419180-l35-engine-valve-adjustment.html

    New member L2550

I have an older Mitsubishi tractor with a Koyker loader. Check out their website. I think their factory is in South Dakota. My loader has held up well - I've had it about fifteen years. The only problem I've encountered thus far is having to replace short hydraulic hoses - once per hose and...

    New guy

Hello youself and welcome to OTT. I know nothing of your experience level or experience with that tractor but I've had a similar issue with my old Mitsubishi. It will magically create oil and fill its crankcase to the point where oil pours out the dipstick hole. On my tractor this is caused...

Quality Control Problems with BX Series?

The quality control problem may be the hold up but if fixed it will probably prevent a future recall. That could make it "better" than the ones sold before the recall. As far as an imperfect versus a perfect tractor - I don't think there is a perfect tractor, car, truck, microwave, or anything...

L48 Front Hydraulic Pump Coupling Shaft

You have a small shaft with cv joints on each end. Can these joints not be replaced with automotive cv joints or U joints? Just a thought.

    Does Diesel Fuel Un-gel?

Yes diesel thaws and yes it can be reused. The process is much like olive oil. At room temperature it's a liquid. Put it in the refrigerator for a couple hours. It's not really solid but it doesn't pour well either. The diesel fuel won't freeze solid it just gets real thick and won't flow...

Parts availability for grey market Kubotas.

Re: Parts availability for “GM” Kubotas. I saw GM and first thought General Motors. I have a grey market Mitsubishi. It's been quite reliable but is getting really difficult to source some parts. This year I got a Kubota L2501. There's a world of difference there -it's amazing what fifty...

What do tractor tire chain numbers mean ?

Well, those are too big for your Kubota. If I read them correctly (and I could be wrong) those are for a tractor with a 31 inch wheel about 12.5 inches across which kind of tells what size tire it uses. I suspect the 15 refers to the number of cross links between the inner and outer chain.

Generator questions for you expert electricians

I did a web search for Champion generators. You CAN parallel two of them with their kit for increased current capacity. If you did that and got a 120-240 transformer your problem would be solved. I also learned Champion offers free lifetime technical support. You could pose your question to...

    New Wheels

When I purchased my Kubota the salesman said the best price for wheels and tires was right there at the dealer. i won't promise it's true but it's a thought. I don't know if he meant individually or as a package but I'm guessing as a package. Anyhow, it's a place to start. I don't know if...

Generator questions for you expert electricians

If they are inverter generators there MAY be a way to do it. Check into a shop that sells them. I have seen an outboard adapter for sale to parallel two of them for increased current at 120 volts. If you can do that there should be a way to tie them for 240 volts as well. They may have to be...

    FEL hooks

I don't believe a chain will fly very far. Each individual link does not stretch very far so if something snaps there's not much overall movement. It is generally good practice to run a second chain over it so if it does snap the second chain, not under tension, will catch the first. As far...

    L3301 DT Hydraulic Fluid

I don't think you read anything wrong. The owner's manual does specify hydraulic filter at fifty hours and complete hydraulic fluid change at 400. Wolfman seems to be saying you will collect water in the hydraulic fluid just from sitting and an added measure of security and longevity will be...
