Is there any reason NOT to get R1's?

I run the R4s but I mow my yard with my tractor. Otherwise, I would have the R1s. The L3800 is a great tractor in my opinion, you'll love it if that's what you decide to go with. Welcome to the forum, there is lots of useful information on here.

    B3300SU 3pt hitch is junk!

Greenegg, I was just throwing it out there. It might be something that the dealer will ask, always good to have your ducks in a row, when you start dealing with the dealer or Kubota themselves. I'm not sure how much difference in size my l3800 and your tractor is but I've thrown a lot at mine...

    B3300SU 3pt hitch is junk!

Sorry to hear about your luck. Did things get bent and broken while using the phd or when the mighty JD saved the day?

Kubota substandard 3 pt hitch issue

I'll state again that mine does NOT have a jerky 3pth. Clearly there seems to be an issue with some of them and I would like to see Kubota fix the problem for those folks that are having issues. That seems like the right thing to do. I too bought the Kubota because they are supposed to be the...

Boom Pole for 3PH - Are They Worth It

I have to agree with hodge. I have a 3pt boom for my JD, and it was handy. Now I have a Kubota with a FEL, and I have not yet needed to use the boom on the JD. Just my two cents, of course.

Change Filters or not? Rotella oil?

Seems like over kill to me, but I assume you don't want to do the maintenance in the middle of winter. That's kinda what happened to me whenever I hit 50hrs, only it was in the middle of spring when I was busy. If it makes you feel better do the filter change, at least you won't have to...

Yep, just like I explained it earlier this week.

    loader in float

I do believe the 3 point floats if you put the lever all the way down past the #1, if you put it on one of the numbers it stays in that position. I was not aware that the FEL could be floated. I'll have to try that the next time I put it back on the tractor.

Just fishing where the fish are, I guess.

What implement to break new ground with L3200?

I planted sunflowers in the spring and all I did was turn it over with a one bottom plow and then hit it with my roto tiller and it came out great. I should however mention that I have very poor soil here in southern Illinois. It's mostly clay and the tiller was having a tough time with it...

What do you think of this?

I just noticed you bought an HST, once you mow with that HST you'll never want to use a standard trans again. Just my opinion of course! You'll get a lot of those in here....

What do you think of this?

Buy it, sell the tractor as states above. Two tractors equals double the maintenance. Or just wait and find another finish mower. I bought a 72" cut for $250, put another $75 in, and now I mow my yard in 1.5hrs instead is 3hrs. I wasn't sure if I would like using it on my yard so I...

    L3800, electrical advise

That's one of the two JD I have, it was given to me after my stepdad passed away a couple years ago. I used it until I bought a finish mower for the K.

    L3800, electrical advise

Ok so here is what I ended up coming up with. I bought a new meter that can measure amps, my old one wasn't capable, it was showing only 1.50 amps on average while the motor was hooked up directly to a lawn mower battery. So I decided to proceed with my original plan. I rewired it using...

    L3800, electrical advise

I believe I found the fuse that goes to that open connector. It's listed as "work light" in the tractors fuse box, it is a 10amp fuse. No amp rating on the electric motor, but it does have 14 ga wire coming out of it, if that helps. I'm going to call the manufacturer later today to see if...

    L3800, electrical advise

Thank you, I'll check it again for the amps, I didn't see it yesterday when I looked. This is all that is listed on the motor itself; PV23130Q 12VDC 24/07/95 I'll post what I find, thanks again.

    L3800, electrical advise

I was able to figure out that I am getting 12.46 V at the open connection under the fender. Shouldn't this run a 12v motor?
