I'm still learning about all these different types of gravel and was basically going with either crusher run or #57 to top off my driveway and then read that #5 might be better as is is less likely to wash away than #57 as I have some steep areas on my driveway. Never simple figuring out what...
I need to top off my driveway and am uncertain what to use. New construction, pretty good gravel base but construction trucks, concrete trucks left some issues. I've had some say use crusher run, others #57 or #5? Not sure which to get.
Box blade is my new best friend. Used mine on my b2601 for the first time this past weekend on my gravel driveway which is about 250 yds long. Did an amazing job of filling in ruts and smoothed it out nicely as well.
Just a follow up but the Pat's is a resounding success for me and the QH15 will be hitting Craigslist. Access to connect the PTO with the Pat's is sooooooooooo much better. Not having the frame of the QH15 blocking me I could get in a much better position to connect the PTO on my tiller and...
The Qh15 should......should (don't take my word as gospel) work with your LP Box Blade even with that brace below the pin but if you have a number of LP implements even if they are all quick hitch compatible you are more than likely still going to have to adjust to top hook location on the QH15...
Thats exactly what I was thinking. Couldn't see how a bushing would have anything to do with lenghting the top link which was the question at hand. Maybe we are both wrong.
Yep, I agree. Had several back surgeries. I do ok unless I have to simultaneously bend over, and lean forward in an awkward position while hold some weight and that exactly the position I have to get in because of the frame on the QH15 to connect anything to the pto. I'm hoping this Pat's will...
That's what I figured you meant. Again, pardon my ignorance but I need extra length to connect my top link as you are aware. Are you saying there is a way to just buy the bushing in the link above to add to my existing top link to get the extra length or are you saying buy a cat 2 top link and...
Yes was fully aware before hand this might be an issue due to the extra length the Pats adds to the lower arms. The pallets adds a separate and possibly contributing "arc" for lack of a better description issue to connecting the top link.
I understand the concept of a "sleeve" but not sure how...
Bit of a newbie so don't know what you mean by "sleeve". My implements are stored on pallets raised on casters. The pallets are great but I think being up a tad high may be the reason I'm needing more length on the top link.
UPDATE: Installed the Pat's earlier today. Simple install but my top link is to short. I have a B2601, is there anything special I need to look for in a top link or will any longer cat 1 top link suffice?
Thanks for link. Seems like when I was shopping for tractors John Deere had some sort of easy connect but who wants a GREEN TRACTOR :):) I'm sure most of the struggling to connect the bushhog and tiller were just me not being proficient at it. I'd be struggling and struggling pushing SO HARD on...
Yep.........Kubota & Lanpride would have a lot of happy campers if they came out with some sort of quick coupler for PTO driven implements. A lot of my frustration last fall was due to lack of practice I'm sure but I cussed that PTO something severe. Seemed like it took WAY TO MUCH force to push...
The pallets the implements are sitting on all have locking casters so the pallets will not move when I back up to them to connect but I know the tiller is not sitting perfectly vertical on the pallet with regards to the bottom pins and top link. Guess it will be trial and error connecting the...
I like that stand. I actually built heavy duty palettes with casters last fall for all my implements that I can wheel out of the way in my barn / garage to save space. They were a pain to build but turned out great for the purpose. Got a big box blade AND a tiller on the same pallet and even...
Think I'm going to try a Pat's. Anything to get a little better access and that doesn't put my body in such a contorted position when connecting to the PTO is worth a try. Extra time lining things up and manually connecting the top link is a trade off I could live with. Looks like I could get...
