    Insurance?

I paid cash for my B2601 and Landpride quick hitch, tiller, pallet forks, bush hog and box blade last September. Took out a KTAC policy on everything at the time of purchase. Ironic as my KTAC renewal came in the mail today. MUCH better coverage than homeowners / farm policy. About $30 per...

Mowing lawn. Bucket on or off?

I mow about 4 acres a week with my B2601 and 5' FDR1660 finish mower. With loader and bucket on it struggles to have power in medium gear to make it up slopes, with loader on but bucket off it does OK but not great going up slopes in medium, with loader and bucket off it does pretty good going...

Medium duty cutter on an LX2610SU?

The issue I ran into with my B2601 and the 5 foot FDR1660 finish mower is she struggled going up slopes with the loader on. She's make it up the slopes in low gear no problem but then it took a lot longer to mow the 4 to 5 acres I'm cutting weekly. Took the loader off and then the little B2601...

Medium duty cutter on an LX2610SU?

I would be less concerned about its ability to turn the mower but I'd take the loader off and have them lift the bush hog on a slight slope and see how the front end does. I've learned on my B2601 with the FDR1660 finish mower I have to be "careful". I like to cut with the loader off to save gas...

Mowing Grass - Help With My Next Mower, Please

Could use some input. I'm mowing about 4 to 5 acres weekly with my B2601 and 60" finish mower and I've got to make a change. Takes a long time, B2601 is too light, not enough power going up slopes and the seat......well I think the seat issue is well documented. I am considering a larger heavier...

when will the Grand L 60 series be replaced?

As another B2601 owner needing a heavier tractor I'm just hoping for an "L" series upgrade. Give me some armrests! Not asking for much :)

    PTO Quick Attach?

I understand the frustration with pushing that pin in. Lubing that pin helped but getting rid of my land pride QH15 quick hitch and going to a Pat's quick hitch helped me more than anything. I now have much better access to the pto. Gives better access to the pto which puts me in a position with...

Advice on purchasing a flail mower and land plane for B2601

On my B2601 I went with a 4' medium duty RCR1548 bush hog and a 5' FDR1660 finish mower. Great combo. I spent a ton of time looking into flail mowers. I'm am constantly backing up into areas with both my finish mower and my bush hog. From what I understand backing up is not recommended /...

Traded my L2501 HST for a Kioti DK4210SE

I researched EVERY brand of tractor for a couple of years before buying a Kubota last fall. However Kioti was second on my list so chances are you will be happy for many years. They make a fine tractor! For me it was clear it was going to be orange one way or the other. I'll be upgrading to a...

    Swift Tach Loader Removal??

As a follow up, took it off yesterday no problem lets just hope putting it back on will be as easy! Probably a couple weeks before I put the loader back on. First time I mowed without the loader and it was a much more pleasant experience.

Help another newbie decide between a B2601 vs LX2610

I am maintaining a tract of which about 16 wooded acres (trails to maintain) and about 5 acres of pasture / yard that at this time of the year is needing to be cut weekly with the B2601. No matter what you do I'd recommend upgrading to a medium duty LP bush hog (I got the 1548) and while you can...

    B2601 review and thoughts

RDRCR, sent you a PM before I saw your comment above. Thanks! And yes my plan is to use the box blade to do exactly as you describe. Fortunately, no cattle on the property for decades so its in good shape but a couple major ruts from house grading the box blade should be able to fix. Even still...

    Swift Tach Loader Removal??

Thanks for both of your replies. Even though it's probably ok I always get nervous and think I'm about to break something when the front wheels are lifted from force from the loader which I try to avoid. And of course just trying to avoid any other idjit first attempt errors that might cause and...

    Swift Tach Loader Removal??

Haven't taken the swift tach loader off my B2601 since I got it last fall. Got some work to do in the woods where extra maneuverability will help and am going to take the loader off. Watched a bunch of video and taking the swift tach loader off seems "not that complicated" but saw a video where...

    B2601 review and thoughts

Why do I have a bumpy yard? My yard is / was a pasture and in terms of pastures a pretty good shape pasture at that. Just bought the place and learning where the nasty bumps are which is helping and am working to smooth some areas that need it. However pastures aren't manicured yards and even...

    B2601 review and thoughts

Approaching 80 hours on my B2601 I got last fall. My main task is mowing my 4 acre yard with 5' LP finish mower and the B2601 is beating me to death when I hit bumps. Serious jolt to the old back! My tires are filled. I understand the lack of suspension issue but my question is would a heavier...

    First tractor

B2601 is a great little tractor. Consider a finish mower as opposed to a belly mower. Just picked up a LandPride FDR1660 finish mowerfor my B2601 and it does a GREAT JOB! I'd skip the Kubota Quick Hitch for whatever you buy and get a Pat's Quick Hitch. I have both and MUCH PREFER the Pat's.

    Equine offer pricing experience

The equine discount is WELL WORTH looking into but expect different reactions from dealer to dealer when you mention the incentive. Kubota pricing is ALL OVER THE BOARD from dealer to dealer. No different than buying a car. Shop ALL DEALERS that are within a reasonable distance that can provide...
