Mine, bought in January, is loose. I step up on it and then put the other foot up on the harder hump and do not rotate the left foot on the mat. Getting off, have to kinda jump up to rotate my left foot, as rotating my foot on the mat makes a mess.
Our Isuzu generator driver had been running 0.3 gph through about 130 hours. Then we had a long power outage this last winter. It ran out of fuel, 50 gallons with about 75 hours on it. This usage is what the two 24.5 hp JDs had been running. Guess it was pretty much loaded up with 2 heat...
I'd go with the 54. Got a 60 inch one with the B2601. Haven't given it a real good go yet but did take out some of the settled in stuff on the uphill side of one of our trails. Did well.
That's why we drove 2 hours north to Winchester to get a B2601 with loader. They had 2 there. No one else had any. Even that dealer had no B2301s. Got in January for my birthday in April.
I kept both channel locks (for the round right side link gizmo) and adjustable wrench (for the lock nut) to lock the two together. Gotta be reasonably tight to keep them from coming apart.
Mowed an area requiring lots of backing yesterday. No problem now with about 70 hours on it. Still have that note about that one horizontal spring among 2 other vertical ones. May yet remove it.
Mowed the area between our driveway and my naked neighbor's, loaded with wing stem. He came out later and asked me if I'd mow some of his up among some trees as he could not get his 4 series JD in there. I did it. He offered me a beer, but I had to turn that down because I have severe celiac...
The Isuzu generator driver has one spin on fuel filter. Think that's the best. It has no filter in the bowl.
Had a JD 1025R lemon briefly. It, like the Kubota BXs, has an inline fuel filter underneath the foot deck. Really sorry place to put a filter and with NO fuel shutoffs. Both these...
The fuel bowl filter is the only fuel filter on the B2601. Also was the only one on both the JD 4010 (like a 2019E if made today) and the JD 2025R gen. 1.
The Mobil 428 is a dead center match to JD's hy vis hydraulic oil. I always used low vis here in Va, but hy vis should be okay if the winters do not get too cold.
Think WM and Woodmax are also made in China and distributed out of Canada.
Bought our WC46 from WM for about the same price and included hydraulic feed and horizontal input chute.
