    3-Point Hitch Adjustment Turnbuckle

Don't know why both sides aren't adjustable. Probably comes down to $. The adjustable one costs more, and one will do the job.

    Fuel filter quick drain?

Very odd. I've driven diesel cars since about 1978 and have had diesel tractors since 2004 and diesel generator for 10 years. Never ever have I had water in diesel fuel. Gasoline, yes. You're getting an unusual exposure to water.

    Warm Up

I start 'em up and go gently right away. Won't take but a couple seconds for it to run smoothly. Have done this all my 62 years of driving stuff. Never an engine failure. Ran one to 25 years and 415k miles. Still started and ran like new.

    Mulching kit

I've rarely ever did either of these. Think I used a core aerator one time and maybe dethached twice in 50 years.

    Mulching kit

Never ever have I had this problem and have been mulching for about 50 years. Saves you beaucoup on fertilizer. I don't use any. Grass returns back to where it came from plus energy in it from the sun.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Learned value of running at 45 degree ROPS position. Kept a tree from landing on my back, but I should have eased up to it and watched and then lowered to 90 degree position. Actually the tree landing on the 45 degree part of the ROPS made it easier and safer to cut. My wife stood on the bush...

    Mulching kit

The mulching kit that came with the Ryobi ZT480e is just a blank covering the discharge port. You remove that diverter and attach the blank. You could easily make a blank, e.g. just cover the discharge.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Took it down to the tractor crossing and mixed a couple bags of cement (one at a time) in the FEL. Dumped into a low spot on the crossing, which is a normal underflow but will overflow with storms.

    Early first service B2601

Did it at 13 hours on my first tractor. Seemed to be no problems. That certainly did not make the driveshaft Ujoint blow up (JD).

Looking for new tractor for 80th

Tis my 80th today. Apart from the B2601 bought back in January due to supply concerns, here are pics of what my daughter bought for me.

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

Your VW dealer will also have diesel oil, 5w30 Castrol.

    Starting procedure RPM

From sheepfarmer, it sounds as though the LX is like the B2601: a manual stop between "on" and "stop" and count 1-2-3. If really cold, put the throttle at 1/2 and throttle back once smooth enough, and you might need more than 3 seconds (but likely not). Except for the manual stop, this is the...

    Who has R14 tires?

All the B2601s at Winchester Equipment had R14Ts. Went with them despite having had ZERO tire problems with R4s on the last 2 JDs since 2013. The R14Ts have more bite on turns. R14s skid sideways. Close to same bite to/fro. More comfortable ride because inflation pressure is lower. From...

    Buying another soon

Depends on size of the round bale, somewhat. A B would do a medium round bale if on reasonably level ground. Check the lift capacity of the L to determine what it can do. You likely will need about an M size.

New B2601. Thanks for the advice!

Do not need comments like this. I'm using this tractor the same way as I did the 3 JDs. Its fuel usage is about half what the JDs used.

    Tread adjust question B2410

Hmm. Anyone know whether the B2601 has this?

New B2601. Thanks for the advice!

Hope yours as stingy on fuel as our B2601: 0.36 gph through to near 28 hours. WAY lower than the 3 JDs I had and almost as low as the small (12.5 kw) Isuzu.

    Position control working? B2410

Normal. My bush hog runs at about 6 1/2 on level ground for 1 inch up. The lower settings allow you to lower it on the down side of a mound. The JD 2025R was nice in that you could set the stop at the "level" position but easily bypass it for like going over a mound.

    3 point wood chippers

If you get a WM chipper, if you do not have a low rise floor jack, get one. That is the best way to raise the input roller when you get a jam. I take it in the FEL now along with a chain saw for trimming when going downhill with it.

    Stingy on fuel

Up to 10 gallons at 27.6, almost full: 0.36 gph.
