can a 6 ft V4290 blade with a quick attach be used on BX1870 tractor

Just picked up a 6 foot back blade for my 1880. Lifts fine. Will see how it does this winter. If it becomes problematic, I’ll trim it down to five feet. Did test it out on my gravel driveway without any issues. Have a 5 footer that works good but the bottom pins are too narrow for my 3 point...

    Rear blade advice

Cut off 6 inches on both sides if it’s too big. Being bigger will help with ballast when using the loader. But if it struggles lifting, cut off the ends. Just picked up a 6 foot blade so it will work with my 3 point quick attach. My 5 footer was too narrow to hook up to the quick attach. being...

Bottom of my bucket has no paint

I have a land plain but no experience yet with it. Tried a few times to see what it can do. Aggressive. Got a feeling my snow pusher will level everything by spring. Will be first winter with it.

Options on 3 point back blade

Of both the pins and bushinags I ordered from 2 different places, none of the bushings fit inside the pins. If they did, would have made a big difference being a tighter fit. Maybe I’ll take one of the pins to tractor supply and see if I can find some.

Yeah, need to learn to use the blade instead of the bucket when back dragging. Will paint it in the spring.

Options on 3 point back blade

With 2 back surgeries myself, possibly a 3rd coming up, I need quick attach setup. Surgery tomorrow for shoulder. Am figuring things out as I go. Seems the pins and bushings I have ordered from 2 different places are both large and have allot of slop going on attachments. Still made it work...

Starting to believe this. Am out of time since surgery is tomorrow. The blade is hooked up for the winter so think I'm covered for now. Thanks for everyone's help.

    Any BX grass catcher owners?

Can you post some pictures of it mounted? I'm looking for a solution for grass clippings. Either a rake or this.

Any way you can take measurements of front, bottom and rear of that hook? No hurry. Whenever you can. I'll compare it to mine.

I got it to work without getting off the tractor. Just for my back blade. Will have to adjust when spring arrives and need the ballast box. Blade will stay on for the winter.

Been considering that. Almost considered flipping the hook upside down not sure a good idea. It will keep the attachment from moving back and forth but no help on lift.

Here is 2 pictures, side and back to the blade I just bought. The hook has to come off in order to hook the top pin.

I have been trying different angles. If I go back to far, the bottom pins won't attach. Bring it back and top hook can't get in top pin.
