    SUDT2 to top off axle

When I did my service I drained the 80w from the axle and replaced it with SUDT2 with no problems. I think it’s easier to have SUDT2 in there rather than 80w. Then I don’t have to keep 80w around.

New L2501 on the way, any advice as far as what to be on the lookout for?

Yes. It depends what you are doing with the box blade. Simple fixing of ruts and stuff is easy and you don’t really need a T&T. However, if you are trying to regrade or move a lot of dirt then a T&T is the only real way to go. Tilting the front of the box down will dig and collect dirt...

New L2501 on the way, any advice as far as what to be on the lookout for?

I do all my own work on my vehicles and equipment too. However, the dealer shouldn’t charge for the install on a new tractor. Doing it later will probably make you pay for labor. Also, for me, the advantage of having them do the install is reliability. They do it all the time so there is no...

    L2501 branch stuck in tire

I’ve had that happen twice. I took it to the local tire shop and had them pop the bead and clean everything, then reseat it. It sucks. The only good thing is you don’t need a Jack to take the front tire off. Lol

    Question about drilling holes

Grease is probably the best. Paint doesn’t usually coat sharp edges. I also use anti seize on things, as mentioned above, and I apply it to the exposed metal. If you break the sharp edges with a file or something, you will get better paint adhesion. You could always experiment. Try something...

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

True. But the question of damage a tire can do is relevant. In very wet conditions, all tires will do damage. But on average conditions, there can be a huge difference. I assumed he was asking about people’s experience with different tires. As the OP states. He has had experience with R-1’s...

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

I have a much smaller tractor, LX2610, but I have R-14’s. I do a lot of work in the woods with a grapple, clearing land, leveling, etc. And I bush hog, use a front mounted post hole digger, backhoe, etc. I haven’t destroyed anyone’s lawn, or my own. I have driven over lots of grass while...

Anyone using the Self-leveling loader on a CUT?

Nope. Although it says it’s mechanical, it does tie into the hydraulic system. I was thinking about installing it myself because I already had the tractor on the farm. I went to the dealership to look at the kit and quickly realized there was a lot to it. I think the install instructions are...

Anyone using the Self-leveling loader on a CUT?

I believe the price for the load leveler was just under $1000. That was December of 2020

Anyone using the Self-leveling loader on a CUT?

I have an LX2610 with the leveling kit. I had my tractor for a few weeks before the kit came in, so I was able to use it with and without. If I had to do it again, I would definitely get the leveling kit. I like it a lot. Yes, it does reduce the curl function and it took me a bit to get use...

Tools Needed for New Tractor Owner - Tool Sizes

That’s a perfect strategy. From what I’ve heard, things are starting to move faster. I wouldn’t be surprised if your tractor comes in much sooner than January. That is hopefully an outside estimate of delivery. If I think of anything else I have used, I will let you know. When you pick up...

Tools Needed for New Tractor Owner - Tool Sizes

Ok. I checked for you. The rear tire bolts are 15/16 The front tires are 11/16 The hydraulic fittings are 18mm and 19mm. The 18 is kinda lose so it might be SAE. Another thing I did was protect all my hydraulic lines. See pic. And I use a tuff jug for fuel. They are awesome. The fuel pours...

Tools Needed for New Tractor Owner - Tool Sizes

Oh boy. Here we go. So many people will start giving opinions that you didn’t ask for. Brace yourself. I have an LX2610. I can tell you what I have used in the last year.... A cheap torque wrench from harbor freight that will set to whatever torque setting you need. I have 2 because some...

Looking for some beginner tractor advice (B/LX + implements)

I have filled tired with my cab. There is no reason you can have filled tires. The only thing you can’t have with the cab is the larger tires

Looking for some beginner tractor advice (B/LX + implements)

I have an LX2610 cab. I do a lot of land clearing, firewood, brush hogging, etc. I love the cab. Especially in the snow. I stay warm and dry when I plow. And when it’s 95 degrees out, I get in my tractor with AC and find something productive to do. The LX has done everything I’ve asked it to...

Looks like the Canucks are pushing back

Maybe that’s because those diseases were actually deadly. Now we have a virus that is so deadly, we need a test to see if you have it. That doesn’t sound like smallpox, measles, etc. How dark this con of man.

Looks like the Canucks are pushing back

So... because Canada’s neighbor to the south has restriction etc. Canadians should not feel the need to protest or oppose the vaccination mandates? That’s a great philosophy. Wait until they are rounding up people and sorting them by political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, vaccine...
