Thank you! You are right about the belly guard, and I'll check when I put the wheel spacers on. Brotek makes the spacers -though not listed on their website- but I doubt very much they'd make a fan guard.

Actually there is one, but in the pictures it's hidden behind the front loader. Moreover, it's Kubota grey so doesn't stand out. I consulted this forum extensively before putting in my order, which certainly saved me lots of errors and aggravation...

D2Cat, It indeed throws everything in the drum. With a set of flail-extenders (which I also got) it turns into a scarifier - something on this year's to-do list, as twenty years without grazing or mowing have created a thick carpet of moss, dead grass and pine needles, which the flails alone...

And the flail mower with pick-up. The thing is rather heavy (around 750 lbs IIRC), and I not only have a bad back but am also rather smart and lazy :cool: , so I put some heavy-duty casters under a pallet to easily move it around and attach it to the BX - no swearing, no sweat.

70 feet of old fence wire, embedded in 20 years of grass? No problem: weave a tow strap through it, attach to tractor, pull wire out. Move tractor 20 feet down the fence, repeat. Repeat again, done. A job that by hand would have taken half a day was done in 20 minutes.
