    New tractor!

What do you lose on an open-station L3560 LE over the non LE edition? I know on the cab versions you lose the front work lights, maybe a 12v outlet, the mirrors, maybe the cruise control? Seems like on the open station you would only lose the cruise? I'd strongly recommend you making the dealer...

What About Your Tractor Makes You Swear?

The lack of a 4x4 indicator on the dash letting you know the front axle is engaged.

    Hitch Ball Mount

Lot of guys drill a hole and install a ball into their bucket, as they can still fully use the bucket but also easily get under a trailer and move it without even leaving their seat, and backing a trailer in is easier.

    Need a seat upgrade

The MX 4800 - 5800 is the same seat as the MX5400 and MX6000, whether cab or not. The seat is reasonably comfortable, in my opinion. Armrests can be added from Kubota as an accessory.

Dealer warns front axle will wear out if left in 4x4

Only Ford still employs hubs that can disconnect both front wheels on their pickups and full size SUVs. GM and RAM use a center axle disconnect, which only disconnects one side. But I think disconnecting hubs on the Kubota would be a challenge since they use a bevel hub design.

Dealer warns front axle will wear out if left in 4x4

4WD is not helpful in braking a road-going vehicle like a pickup, because the pickup already has brakes on all 4 wheels. A tractor only has brakes on the rear wheels (at least smaller tractors like most of our Kubota's). If you are using engine braking or an exhaust brake on a diesel, then 4x4...

Dealer warns front axle will wear out if left in 4x4

No, it isn't. The type of 4x4 system found on our Kubota tractors is basically identical to a part-time 4x4 system found on many half-ton and heavy duty pickups, and Jeeps like the Wrangler or Gladiator truck. Let's take my brand-new 2022 RAM 2500 for example. When I am in 2WD Hi, power goes...

Has anyone filled their tires with fluid and regretted it?

Some of you guys are nuts. You don't need to "take strain off the loader." The manufacturer rates the tractor's front axle to be able to handle the added wight of the loader itself and the loader's rated payload. It will be able to take this for the life of the machine. The pages cited in the...

What nobody mentions about a BX

Rodger, that Vette sounds very good. Must be an automatic though, with the remote start. (Can't say I blame you, the autos are now faster than the manuals). My 2020 Mustang has direct and port fuel injection, as well as active exhaust. It has four outlets, two are open all the time, and two are...

What nobody mentions about a BX

I like the smell of a non-DPF equipped diesel. Not for hours on end, but I like to catch some whiffs of it. Loved my L2501 when I had it. Engine started very well and had a nice diesel smell. My current machine filters it out. I still have a 2005 F-350 diesel. The only emissions controls it has...

    MX5400 or MX6000?

You'll eventually get used to any pedal arrangement. I will say the pedal on the Grand L series is nicer than on the MX.

    MX condenser screen is worthless

The flail mowers are just not quite as rugged as the rotary mowers but otherwise better in every way, in my opinion

    MX condenser screen is worthless

One thing I've noticed on these tractors is that when the machine is brand new, the coolant bottle is at the full / max line. After using it for awhile, it drops low. The dealer told me these tractors are not shipped with coolant from Japan and they add the coolant, and that air bubbles...

    MX condenser screen is worthless

Thanks for sharing your experience with the MX. In my experience with all these Kubotas, by the time the coolant temp gauge is at the "3/4" position (still well in the normal range, but heading towards hot), in very short order the machine will overheat and may already be pushing coolant out of...

    MX condenser screen is worthless

The trimmer head is difficult to load (requires two equal lengths of string cut instead of just one folded like Husky and others). It also doesn’t hold very much string. I have a side landscaping business and go through a couple thousand feet of string a season, so reload speed and capacity is...

    MX condenser screen is worthless

The Stihl trimmer heads are horrible. I have two KM131R units with most attachments. I refuse the use the trimmer. Husqvarna has the best trimmer heads.

    MX condenser screen is worthless

@mxmci I’m amazed the AC wasn’t totally warm with that buildup. I guess it’s how clean the condenser cores are behind the cheesy screen. I recently picked up the Milwaukee m18 blower…not impressed but will probably work for this purpose.

Thanks, that’s good info. I will insulate mine.

MX5100 HST 4 Wheel Drive Linkage

Also, turning the steering wheel all the way to the right or left while stopped will allow you to make the shift back into 2WD easily. It is annoying how these tractors will drop into 4x4 easily, but be so difficult to smoothly get back into 2wd. I guess you can have peace of mind knowing they...

    MX condenser screen is worthless

I'll borrow your M6060 while you're out on the MX6000...lol. I just finished my main round of summer mowing. I'm not sure a leaf blower is adequate if the radiator cores get really blocked up. If the grass is tall and has tassels hitting the grille area, you can plan on needing to do a clean...
