I think that I would add some "dry gas", water remover, to the fuel. Also you should keep your fuel tanks topped off to prevent condensation. Good luck now that it is running correctly.

I understand your concern about the electrical system on the small tractors. I have found it easier to use a 2nd battery, deep cycle, to supply the power for the winch rather then risk the damage to the tractor plus it allows me to move the winch form place to place.
