    new top link for B2601

It's because of the way the B2601 is built I guess. It wasn't an issue on my BX. On the B, the rops folds down completely. and it goes so low that the top link will bump into it if you raise the 3PH at it max height. So that bent the top link.

    new top link for B2601

That's a possibility. But there seems to be many variants of these too. Apparently, I might need to grind the eyes because they'd be too wide. Is that really an issue? Any chance someone could point to something that would be the best replacement on TSC (or anywhere in canada) ?

    new top link for B2601

I just bent my top link on by brand new B2601. it hasn't been 24h yet :(. I had no idea that operating the 3PH with the ROPS down could do this. But now I know. So I'm looking at buying a replacement. This is the top-link I have...

    Vevor clamp-on forks

That's good info. So the "smiling bucket" is a real concern here then. Maybe I'll try to figure something else.

    Vevor clamp-on forks

yeah, I do understand the limitations of such forks. It mostly just to be able to transport light but bulky loads like branches or the kid's toys etc... But I just wanted to know if these specific ones would be worst than others. I'm also worried that it could warp my bucket. But I guess that...

    I traded my bx23s for a b2301

Yes, it wasn't an even trade. The bx23s trade covered the bare B2301 exactly. But the backhoe, loader and blade are extra money I had to spend. I don't mow the lawn with it. For the size of land I have, it's not worth it. I mean, a small tractor-mower costs half the price of the PTO mower for...

    I traded my bx23s for a b2301

I'm surprised at how well these machines hold value. My bx23s was 2yo with 250h. I just traded it in today for a B2501. I got the 54" loader, the backhoe with thumb and a rear blade for winter. I hope it's worth it though. To be honest, I didn't need a bigger tractor. I just wanted to buy a...

    Black smoke on cold start

We negotiated 600+tx . Although that includes 150 for transport. What can I do ... by that time I was already upset by my oven that also broke during the same week and had to pat 400$ to get it fixed.

    Black smoke on cold start

That's interesting. Initially, the guy told me it he heard a bout a campaign for the bx series about an issue similar to this. But it turned out not to be the case and instead it seems it was my fault. I just dont understand how water gets in there if there are filters in place for this. And if...

    Black smoke on cold start

No, they just took it apart and cleaned it. I just hope it wont happen again. but does that even make sense? To have an issue like this if you dont warm up the tractor enough?

    Black smoke on cold start

I had the tractor brought to the dealer and they came back to me with a charge of 1000$. They say that condensation was building up in the injection pump andthat usually happen when working the tractor too fast without letting it warm up enough when it's cold. I find that very strange because...

    Black smoke on cold start

It's under a carport. Altgough I do get snow on my seat, I don't think it would be an issue under the hood. I'm getting a service call today. I hope I don't have to get it towed. I'll update the thread.

    Black smoke on cold start

So I just tried it this morning after leaving the block-heater on for 30min and I still had the same problem. It was -12c outside this morning. Would that still be consistent with the defective governor theory?

    Black smoke on cold start

Hi everyone, I have a 2yo BX23s with 255h on it. The last few times I tried to start it up, in cool weather (-10c), I use the glow plugs for about 30sec and give it a start. The tractor starts but it starts to emit black smoke and starts reving like crazy. If I don't turn it off, it just keeps...

    PTO generator inverter

Hi, I'm currently working on building a PTO generator using a 10kW generator head. I've seen a few post about similar projects but I can't find any solution on how to smooth out the output. Without knowing too much about the subject, I am guessing that when applying large loads on the...

    ROPS light site recommendation

Hi, I recently ordered some ROPS lights for my tractor on ropslights.com. I didn't get around to try them since I received them too late after I really needed them so I ended up buying them in a local store. Not a big deal I guess. I just want to let other people know that their mention about...

can't connect hydraulic loop on bx23s

I've unscrewed the female connector, a "parker fem 251-4-fp-nl" and I'm tryin to connect the hose directly to it (so obviously no pressure) and it wont clip. So I guess it's a defective connector. Did anyone else have this issue? I'm hoping someone will reply something about just cleaning it...
