    Yet another grill guard post

I thought it would look nicer on the back. Plus, putting it on the back hides the weld.

    Yet another grill guard post

You're absolutely right. I thought about it but I had no more metal on hand. And now it's painted... It's not something I reach for a lot anyway. At the end of the day, if I cut my arm on the grill but did not crush my foot with the backhoe, I guess it's a good day 😁

    Yet another grill guard post

This is my first time welding. The weld is not pretty and probably not as strong as it should be. But there's a first time for everything. Next project will be DIY clamp-on bucket forks.

Fixing a flat BX23s front tire

I ripped one of the front tires on my bx23s last summer. I called the dealer to get a new tire but they told me they dont sell tires, only the whole wheel. Crap. But then they told me it was 100$ (CAD). Haha. I mean, sure, 100$ sucks, but I find it pretty cheap for a brand new wheel. And...

    How Can I Break It

There are many ways you can break it but they are very though. So obviously, doing good maintenance and taking care of it like it was a fancy car is a good way to keep it running long. It's very hard to put too much stress on them. For example, you won't break it by lifting a rock that's too...

Which tires should I order on my B2601

But I would expect this to be a problem since most of the time you'd be driving over a plowed driveway. So unless you scrape all the ways down, chances are you'd be on compacted snow/ice right? Can you put chains on turf tires? or would they just slip on the tire?

    How to apply paint

ok good. So no sanding down the already painted metal then? And the paint sticks on perfectly?

    How to apply paint

Hi everyone, I'm thinking about adding a mesh on the front guard of my B2601. I was wondering how I would go about painting it after. If I buy the Kubota orange spray paint, can I just paint all over, overlapping over the already painted guard? Or would I need to first sand down the original...

Which tires should I order on my B2601

Haha. Well I would wait for the ground to dry up a bit. I had industrial tires on my bx and that was harsh on the soggy soil. I'm more interested to see how they'll perform in wet clay. I tend to stay off the lawn as much as I can anyway.

Which tires should I order on my B2601

I got the r14 tires on my b2601. They're good enough for winter. Haven't tried it yet in summer on lawn but they look like they'd be ok. If I was gonna use the tractor on flat lawn, I'd probably just get the turf tires and get some chains for the winter (if that's possible).

    Oil filters on b2601

Ah, thanks for the info. So basically, 1 filter to protect the pump, and another one to protect the hst motor then?

    Oil filters on b2601

Can someone explain to me why there is a hydraulic filter and a HST filter on the b2601 while there is just 1 oil tank? I don't know much about mechanics and it sounds very strange to me there there are 2 filters for the same oil.

    B2601 grill tilt guard

I just got a b2601 last week. I can confirm that the handle should not touch the pipe. Mine doesn't. Fyi: be careful if you lift up your 3ph when the rops is folded down. I bent my top-link on day 1 because of that 😖

    Work lights confusion on b2601

This is what I ended up doing skeets. So I can't use my 12v outlet any more but that's ok. I didn't cut any wires, so if I wanna sell the tractor, I can just reconnect everything back like before.

    Work lights confusion on b2601

So thw work lights I have are those from ropslights.com. I initially bought them for my BX. They are 4560 lumens each (and I have 2). So it might nit be safe to put on the 5a circuit I guess. I don't have the power rating for those lights. I'm thinking I should just run a wire to the battery...

    Work lights confusion on b2601

Ah yes, in parallel in works. Thanks. As for the fuse, it's not the worklight itself that is 35w, it's really the fuse box that says that. Could this be a typo in the manual (and on the label of the fuse box)? I tested the circuit and it really is 12v and not 6v (6v would make sense for 35w)

    Work lights confusion on b2601

I'm a bit confused with what the manual says. It says I have a 5A fuse for the work light circuit and it says that the max is 35w. Shouldn't 5A 12V give me 60W? Unless my math is wrong here? 35W seems unreasonably low. On my BX, I believe the work ligbt circuit was 20A. Another question: I'd...

    new top link for B2601

Yeah, I could try that. I also tought about turning it over so the bend would be facing the opposite way and give it another squeeze on the ROPS to kink it the other way. Haha. But I've already installed my ROPS lights so that's a no-go.

    new top link for B2601

I was able to get one at PrincessAuto. Definitely not the same quality as OEM but it was 40$. Considering that I adjust it once a year, when putting the blade on for winter, I figured I didn't need anything fancy.

    new top link for B2601

well I felt like an idiot at first because I didn't know that. But your comment shows that at least I'm not the only one. They have stickers on the backhoe stabilizer to say that they could get hit by the boom (not sure how ...), so you'd expect they'd say something about this too.
