Hi,

I recently purchased a bx23s and I wanted to detach the backhoe so I can install the 3-point hitch.

My problem is when trying to reconnect the hose to create the loop after removal of the backhoe. I tried relieving pressure by jiggling the levers and also by pushing with a screwdriver on the hoses end. I still can't the connection done.

It seems to me that it might be because the connector can't get in perfectly straight because the frame of the tractor is in the way. Anyone else have this kind of problem?

Never run into this issue, which part of the frame are you hitting?

The top. Just behimd the seat. If the onnector was a right angle, like the one on the backhoe, I think I could be able to connect it.

But even the one from the backhoe is strange.the male one, trying to fit it in the same problematic femal I dont need to push very hard but I have to wiggle it a lot for it to be secured. And I never hear a click.

I've unscrewed the female connector, a "parker fem 251-4-fp-nl" and I'm tryin to connect the hose directly to it (so obviously no pressure) and it wont clip. So I guess it's a defective connector.

Did anyone else have this issue? I'm hoping someone will reply something about just cleaning it with something and then it's back to new.

I hate them flat faced couplings. Never can get them to connect. Change them out to pioneer.

I have the bx23s and found it difficult to connect the loop due to the close quarters, but after using a screwdriver to help press it on, it snapped in place with no further problem. I do have a question about the third line on the hydraulic hook up for the backhoe which I will try to post separately. I use a 3pt log splitter. Is there any need to have a provision on the log splitter to connect the third line, that I believe is a return line. My old bx23 just had two.
