    Word Police

Spot on D2Cat! This is a great site and a wealth of knowledge resides here, it has been hugely beneficial to me. I've taken many ideas and modified some used as-is for others to build some useful things and increase my knowledge about many others. Hijacking posts also gets under my skin. I...

    Kamado Joe Big Joe

Hey OTT anyone of you have the Kamado Big Joe specifically the 2? If so, what do you like most and dislike about it? I like to grill usually 4 to 5 times a week and enjoy smoking meats as well. As many of you know I like to age my own meat both beef and venison. So let's hear your experience...

    Hummers

Yep been here in NC for a weeks. Few years back had the same hummer 2 years in a row at my house, it was amazing. How in this world did he migrate back to the same spot? Sitting at the window washing dishes and I noticed one had broken his beak, his tongue would hang out a inch from the end...

What is the best engine oil?

What is the best I don't know and will vary from person to person. I use Amsoil in many of my motors and only their grease now that I have tried it. In my L4600 I run the Rotella T6 and change it every 2 years or about 100 hours. Good luck and many different opinions will come along. Jay

    Engine Oil and Filter change

Flip, he did not ask what the manual says he asked what others do. As for the question! I change my oil every 2 years or about 100 hrs and the hydraulic every 200 hrs just gives me a piece of mind. The air filters inner and outer I change every year and blow the outer out as needed. I...

Using John Deere Hydraulic Oil Dye

Got the idea from another thread and it works good. Took a black marker and colored my dipstick with it, to me much easier to see now than when it was grey. Just a thought and no cost really if you have a black marker.

    Tooth bar for bucket

Had my Piranha tooth bar for about 4 years and love it. Thought when I got it I would put it on when I was digging but since the install it had not been off the tractor. Works great for ripping up small trees, digging, grading well just about anything. It also serves well protecting the bucket...

Few implement questions for you guys

Q1- I had to do similar, for putting a piece of pipe in the ground to run a water hose through. It was across a gravel road been driven on for decades. I used my potato plow a few inches at the time to cut a trench in it about a foot deep worked great. Did not need to go deeper as I only use it...

    Gravel in the Grass

While mine I'm guessing is not nearly as bad as what many of you deal with as we don't have much snow. But, over the year blowing leaves, little girl turning on edges of drive with 4-wheeler, mower doing same I get rocks in the grass. The bad areas I turn my landscape rake backwards and rake...

    Sawmilling

Magicman thank you but a guy that goes to my church has a mill. Long as we provide the wood he mills what we need at no cost. He is retired and loves to mill and help people. I carry him the logs and provide the cut sheet, he does the rest. I do pay him but it is hard too, he is stubborn.

    3pt Sprayer Recommendations (B2650, 5 acres)

I have the 25gallon Fimco with the booms and it has served me well. I mounted it to a piece of plywood, drilled 4 holes in plywood and I mount it on the rack of my 4-wheeler. The booms mount to my back rack and work just fine, about 2 feet off the ground. I generally use just the middle section...
