What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spent about an hour with the BX cleaning off the 5-6 inches of wet, sloppy snow we got yesterday afternoon and evening on my drives and the neighbor's drives. Had to pull the bonnet and tap on the starter to get it to engage, looks like it might be time for a starter rebuild. I had a problem...

    3D Printers

Not necessary if you have more of the same filament, the printer has a filament out sensor and automatically pauses the print when the filament suns out. I built a core XY printer from scratch, and it has been a great machine for all the printing I've done with it. I've probably put 50 kg of...

    Anyone into HO model trains?

I have about 50 locomotives, mostly diesels, most of them in UP livery, probably 120 cars of all types, and a couple hundred feet of track, mostly nickel-silver. Most all the rolling stock is Athearn from the 70s, and is all packed in three big boxes in the basement under the utility room. I...

    Red-Tailed Hawk's Nest

I've had numerous birds fly into my pole barn, and despite my best efforts to shoo them out, they somehow can't grasp the concept that they can fly out the same way they flew in, they just keep trying to fly up into the rafters. I have found many dried up carcasses up in the mezzanine and in...

I believe it's 69-70 Dodge Charger, judging from the window trim, bucket seat back shape and radio location.

    Fuel shut off valve

It's due to the way the valve is made. It probably has a hole drilled completely through the valve barrel, so a 90° turn blocks the flow, and 180° opens the port up again to allow fuel flow. At least that's how most of those types of valves work, unless they have a stop to only allow turning...

Show us your Shop and Equipment

I have two, one is a QiDi Tech1 that I bought a few years ago to get started in the 3D printing addiction. It has a small build area, 150mm X 240mm X 150mm, and has two extruders so I can print two colors on the same item, within limits. My main machine is a scratch built Hypercube Evo. It is a...

Sorry about that. Just printed another item to hold pens, markers an pencils, with a holder for my frequently used digital caliper. I used a new bi-color filament from Matter Hackers for it that changes color as you turn it. It took about nine hours to print.

It took several hours, I don't remember exactly how long, and it took, and used about 1 pound of filament. My 3D printer isn't very fast though, as I have it slowed down so the print quality is better. I have three more trays I printed that fit in the drawer, one for dies and another for tap...

Just the beginning, like it or not

A while back, several barns were torched on mostly Amish farms in my area. Not only were the barns lost, but a lot of livestock and farm equipment. It made the news quite often and the sheriff's departments in the affected counties asked for any information anyone might have to aid in catching...

    Replaced BX turnbuckles

I had some leftover tubing and bar stock from a PTO shaft that I used to make a set of stabilizer bars for my BX. I think I drilled a lot more holes than needed, but they work well and were cheap, I had everything I needed including the hitch pins.

"Customer States" YouTube channel .... urghhh!

And yet they have (well, might have) driver's licenses. They are the ones that are examples of why some states have mandatory vehicle inspections.
