    Rear axle lock ?

In the real world.. A two wheel drive is actually a one wheel drive. In a low traction situation, the wheel with the least traction will have nearly 90 percent of the power. And, a 4 wheel drive is actually 2 wheel drive. In a low traction situation, the wheels. (one front, one rear), with...

    Good inexpensive grease gun?

Lube Shuttle. $130 Lube Shuttle®: Hobby Farm Greasing Kit – AET Systems (advancedenginetech.com) The OP's question was a manual gun that will last. The daily stuff available at the auto and big box stores are cheaply built these days. They won't last. You'll find a big glob of grease on...

    Tips for well line?

Do yourself and any future owners of your property a favor. Before you bury everything, take a tape measure, and draw something up real quick with dimensions from the house's foundation. In at least two directions if possible. Keep it with your well information and paperwork. Make any notes...

    I don’t like squashing bugs!

Death is easier to deal with as I get older. The opposite of what the OP mentioned. If you were smaller than a bug, it would eat you and not feel bad about it. Not even shed a tear. Inside the house, we kill the bugs. Outside, we don't. Unless they are mosquitoes or wasps attacking us or...

    Paint or no? Chime in

Did you photo shop the paint job too?!! If not... Did you mask around the decals, or have new ones made? Or did you find NOS (new old stock) decals? There's nothing like having the original paint. Something about the patina that says this one's a classic.. But your tractor looks good if...

    Thoughts on financing

In this volatile state of the economy, it's hard to say. But Kubota has offered 0% for many years. Sometimes the term gets shorter or longer, such as 60 months or 84 months, but they've kept 0 interest going for a while. You may see a price increase as well by Fall. Roll your dice and take...

Stripped oil plug threads lower knuckle

Quick fix? As others mentioned.. the rubber bung you can usually find in the plumbing section at the hardware store. No hardware store?... Take a quarter and JB weld it over the hole. When you're ready to fix it right.. knock the quarter off with a punch, then drill and tap as others...

    Tractor with backhoe storage question.

Famous last words.... I'm just kidding with ya. Seriously. And Thank you for your service! I've never been a ROPS fan, but I understand why it's there. Kubota sells lots of tractors to newbies. And to people that just can't comprehend center-of-gravity changes with a loader or backhoe...

What fluids do you use and where do you get them?

WIX makes a good oil filter. I do use WIX on some of my other vehicles. I switched from FRAM to WIX after watching the oil filter video on Project Farm's channel on YouTube. I was going to post a link but I can't find the video now. Possibly it was removed?

What fluids do you use and where do you get them?

I bought a high performance sports car back in 2017. Owner's manual says change the oil every 6 months regardless of the miles. Sometimes the car sits in the garage for 6 months. Not driven. I changed it a few times every 6 months and watched clean new oil drain out. Now that the warranty...

What fluids do you use and where do you get them?

I buy Kubota fluids and filters from the Kubota dealer. After my pickup trucks, my tractor is the most necessary tool in the shed. I'll skimp on certain things, but not oil or branded filters. Now, If I could be sure who makes Kubota's fluids, I'd buy that if it was A LOT cheaper.

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

Our beloved pooch, Beau, a Sheperd mix. Rescued from the streets of Los Angeles. Beau loves the woods in Wisconsin now. But he's realized that there are creatures in Wisconsin that will eat him. He's dropped a few marks down on the food chain, and he knows it. And although he tried, he...

Buying used things/equipment - Farm auctions or MarketPlace/Craigs list..?

Although I sold a few of my personal items many years ago on CL. Now I avoid it. CL seems to be the way thieves sell stolen products. I bought a couple wine racks off of CL from a business that was closing. But only because that seemed to be legitimate. I think I would trust an auction...

    Roku blues...

The TV was integrated with the Roku. Both would turn on and off with the Roku remote. Tonight, I removed the old Roku and installed a new head unit and remote. It works. Unfortunately, I bought a downgraded Roku unit (unintentionally) and it doesn't turn the TV on or off. Nor does it allow...
