    Price when you were born.

Interesting to see how gasoline literally doubled in price btwm 2003 and 2008.

    Roku blues...

I bought a new Roku today, and I'll set it up tomorrow. I do all the tech stuff in our house. By the way, she never apologized for giving me crap about leaving the TV on. Which we know now, I didn't do. But, ya gotta love 'em.

    Roku blues...

So, a couple years ago we ditched the satellite system and bought a Roku. It's been awesome. Saved us over $100 a month or more. A couple weeks ago, my wife gave me an earful for 15 minutes about saving energy. She woke up before me in the morning and saw that the television was on. All...

What year used kubotas meet these requirements?

Not to hijack a thread. I apologize to the OP for this tangent. Respectfully, To @jyoutz, I can appreciate that too. But the diesel regen systems don't actually eliminate pollutants, they just make them smaller. Microbial. The black smoke that used to make you have issues is now reduced to...

What year used kubotas meet these requirements?

Reading the OP's original post, its a dream that many of us have. Including me. Such as: "I want the low tech simplicity of a 1970s pickup, but maybe with fuel injection because carburetors are a pain. I want parts availability. I don't want hi tech anything. Manual transmission...

    New purchase, concerns with dealers...

It depends on your location and the individual dealership. Check dealer reviews online and talk around with others around you that own Kubotas. A few years ago, my wife's BMW 328D (diesel) started acting up on a long road trip. We had bought the car brand new a few years earlier in Los...

    Does this look right?

I'd guess someone bought it at a Ritchie auction, and flipped it for instant profit. Or it has major issues with the trans or engine. Although it looked pretty good, despite the mismatched tires which screams "Poorly maintained and cared for!". If I were you I'd be grateful that you didn't...

    In-ground Pool Utilities

Ah well, you choose your expenditures and how labor intensive pool upkeep is. No matter what, you have to monitor it and vacuum it. With a fresh water pool, buying pool acid and chlorine and etc means a trip to the store or an online order. Then you have to test your water often and pour in...

    In-ground Pool Utilities

What he / she said. If you can, go with saltwater.

    More snowblower issues

It would be interesting to take a factory shear bolt, and several cheap bolts from the local hardware store. Test the shear breaking point. I'm guessing a grade 3 bolt at 10 cents apiece is about the same as a factory shear bolt at 4 dollars.

    More snowblower issues

For what it's worth: Back in the 70's, (1970's), I used my B7100 with a rototiller, commercially. I'd blow thru shear pins almost every week, depending on the ground I was tilling. Sometimes 3 shear pins a day in clay soil. Stopped buying the "factory shear pins ", and would buy grade 3...

D1105 failure to start - need ideas

Actually, it could. Depending on the compression guage, they typically read and stay at the highest compression reading. If he's getting 150 on an upstroke, then it drops before TDC, because a valve opens, it's still going to read 150... but the reading wasn't at TDC. I'm ignorant about...

D1105 failure to start - need ideas

Not a pro, but I'd guess that your timing is off. Easiest fix. Valves open at the wrong time, no compression, no bang. Or your cylinder hone / rings / pistons spec is way off. Not so easy fix. But should still run, maybe. Did you hone the cylinders yourself?

    Rookie question

It sounds like you should have your dealer or someone that knows tractors, spend a few minutes with you teaching you tractor operation. Read the other posts on here. Its golden information. I'll make a couple points. >IF you're moving the machine, (not parked) keep the revs up. Throttle...

    Rookie question

A good thing to know, if you don't already; Generally , there are no brakes on the front axle of compact Kubota tractors. The only way to allow braking on the front axle is if you have the tractor in 4 wheel drive. The brakes on the rear wheels will, thru the driveline, brake the front axle...

    Winch on my 2601

Put a 12,000 or 16,000 lb winch on a 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. Use the tractor to make a lane to get the truck up there. That's what I do. And buy a good winch. Warn.

    Low vs. Med

I can honestly say that my LX2610 is in Midrange 99 percent of the time. I use Low range for stump pulling, box scraper ripper work, and when trying to get unstuck in the snow. Most of my loader work on the LX2610 has been snow removal, in M range. If I were moving dirt or gravel I'd probably...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I'm waiting for Milwaukee or Makita or similar to come out with a cordless heatgun for such icing issues. Edit.. never-mind, I see that they have them now.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Split in the hose, wow. I'm no expert but if of wasn't rubbing against something or cut somehow, that's a strange hose break.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Count your blessings!!! My area averages 24" to 36" of snow, a winter season a year. But, In two weeks we got about 24", and then the blizzard changed everything. I was sold on getting a 3 point pull behind snow blower or a 3 point backup snow blower. Because I think that the rear PTO is...
