New Tractor Operator - Skill Building or Jump In Head First?

Watch when turning when you think you have enough room back up or go forward a little more to make sure. That bucket or grapple up front take awhile to get used to while turning. If it don't feel safe don't do it. Take a look and see if there might be another way of doing it. As started...

    Lx3310 Strong Exhaust smell/odor

Most likely a regen as stated above. After a few times the smell will be almost totally unnoticeable. I have an F250 after the first few times doing it, I haven't noticed the smell again.

    Enclosed Car Trailer Ramp

I have a United UXL 8 by 20 car hauler. I had to have extended ramps put on it to load my car. It will hold your tractor with out any issues. The ramp is the back door and is Chris crossed with bracing. I was going to upload a picture but they are to large. I also had a door on the left...

    Mower operation

Nope mine comes off and on pretty easy. I bought the drive over deck which will not work for me because it slides around to much on my garage floor. So I just do it the old fashion way and drop all the subframe that holds it in and slide it out on the wheels. Good find on the miss aligned...

    Inflation change for loaded tires?

Yup that is why I said work from there. I run my truck tires lower then sidewall when I am not hauling anything. If I am pulling a trailer or hauling then I air them up. A tractor tire is a bit different where it wants more contact with the ground to help with ride and not tearing up a yard...

    Inflation change for loaded tires?

I would look at the sidewall of the tire and see what it says. Then judge from that which way to inflate.

    Idling vs shutdown and restart

If I am moving dirt etc and my wife has the XG850 running back and forth to dump it in the spot we want it then I will idle and maybe get the next load ready. If I am jumping on and off to run both of them, thenI shut it down. I pretty much shut it down if I am off of it for more than a few...

    Wet clay and sinking BX2380

@NCL4701 It is the milk shack stuff. When I am done with this area it will go back to grass I think. I am looking at rerouting the water flow though this area. That is why I piled up the crap dirt, so I could use it to fill in the low spots. I just didn't realize I was putting it in the...

    Wet clay and sinking BX2380

So to make a long story short. I have a BX2380 that loves to sink in the wet clay here in Eastern TN. I had a tree fall on my place last year and decided to take any tree down that might fall on my place again. I had a track hoe for a few weeks and did most of the work. I took the clay and...

Caution when removing the LA344 on the BX1880

I remove mine when mowing around my house. I put it back on when needed. Depending on what is going on in my world it spends about 50% of the time on and 50% off. I have a pallet I put it on when I am not going to be using it for awhile. This was one of the reasons I bought a BX2380 over...

    Used Blizzard 64 - value??

Let it sit and see if it is there in the middle of summer. If it is then offer the 1500 to get it out of his way. If not it was not meant to be.

First time using my BX2380 to move snow

No towing yet. Just went over 500 miles on it. The dump trailer is not full yet, and might not be for another week or so. We are into the construction part of this one now. We will move it to its new spot when the trash we are getting from the one we are working on is almost over

First time using my BX2380 to move snow

My daughter lives with me right now. The driveway is a on a bit of a sloop. The issue was not the snow in itself. It was warm enough yesterday with sunshine that the entire concrete driveway was warm. The snow moved in last night into this morning from a warm front leaving and a cold front...

First time using my BX2380 to move snow

I think you are stalking me on different forums(-; I was told by the folks that have lived here longer then me, that this is not the normal. Maybe once every few years. If it where normal I would look at getting them and taken the tooth bar off. You guys have been whacked with snow this...

First time using my BX2380 to move snow

I love it for dirt work or pulling ivy. I was not so sure about it while I was just clearing snow, but it didn't interfere with the job so I didn't have to take it off.

First time using my BX2380 to move snow

Yes I have a Piranha tooth bar on it. I figured I would get the heavy snow out of the way and let mother nature take care of the rest.
