Ok I know a lot of folks on here do it all the time. I am in eastern TN so we don't get enough snow most of the time to worry about moving it. Last night we received 2 or so inches of heavy wet snow. My driveway is a little over 150 feet long. My daughter went to go to work this morning and couldn't make it out of her park spot. So I drove her to work. When I got back I figured it is a good excuse to fire up the tractor and get some fresh cool air.

Yes I have a Piranha tooth bar on it. I figured I would get the heavy snow out of the way and let mother nature take care of the rest.

Check out these edge tamers. They have been sitting in my shed for 3 years, having not had snow here in ages. I finally got to use them this week and love them. They do great on pavement & gravel.
This is my first year without a snowblower. I did about a half mile of driveway, and neighbors 500' drive. Plus a few plowed in mailboxes and driveway aprons within striking distance, all with the bucket. It wasnt that bad. It made me realize having the bucket on during snow is a really valuable tool. If I buy another blower it will definitely be a rear mounted one.

I love it for dirt work or pulling ivy. I was not so sure about it while I was just clearing snow, but it didn't interfere with the job so I didn't have to take it off.

I think you are stalking me on different forums(-; I was told by the folks that have lived here longer then me, that this is not the normal. Maybe once every few years. If it where normal I would look at getting them and taken the tooth bar off.
You guys have been whacked with snow this year, you must be getting pretty good at moving it.
PS the truck sat out last night and started right up when I turned the key no wait for the glow plugs.
Looks very good! I recently used my bx as well for snow, and was quite happy with it. I usually use my larger tractor which feels less stable on my slopes.
I take it your daughter lives elsewhere? Hard to imagine not getting our of your place with only two inches of snow, being so flat...

What we call snow in Texas is usually a mix of ice and little snow and usually hits ground temperature above freezing so turns into a sheet of ice with loose stuff on top.
We generally have to wait a day to let it go away so it has become increasingly popular to just shut down since it saves a few lives and a lot of damage to the cars.
Somehow people won’t slow down in poor driving conditions any more
My daughter lives with me right now. The driveway is a on a bit of a sloop. The issue was not the snow in itself. It was warm enough yesterday with sunshine that the entire concrete driveway was warm. The snow moved in last night into this morning from a warm front leaving and a cold front arriving. The entire driveway was covered in ice under the snow. now the snow is gone so is the ice.
She has a little Ford Fusion without snow tires. I let her try to get out of her parking spot, before I just took her to work.
No towing yet. Just went over 500 miles on it. The dump trailer is not full yet, and might not be for another week or so. We are into the construction part of this one now. We will move it to its new spot when the trash we are getting from the one we are working on is almost over
