    Craftsman LT1000

Thank you. This is exactly what I needed. And yes, it shows a spacer! I can fix it.

    Craftsman LT1000

This is what I was thinking too. There has to be a washer/spacer between the pulley and the shaft housing. Trouble I'm having is that I cannot get an exploded drawing of the assembly showing the spacers. Dealers kinda keep that information to themselves on this side of the Atlantic. I'll keep...

    Craftsman LT1000

I think maybe a few of you may have similar mowers, so here goes. This one has the 42" deck with side discharge. For its 25th birthday we sent it away to get a major overhaul but since it came back we have had nothing but trouble and the guy that repaired it is cocooning. First day out, it...

What are the loose pins and brackets on loader bucket?

One pic is showing the pins in a different place on mine and the other is showing how the legs work. I don't have any way of drilling a hole in the top of the leg yet that will take the pin but I'll get there. I didn't show the rear legs but there is a better pic in a recent post "What is this"

    Help with trailer gate modification

What about something like this It provides strength and legs to stop lifting the truck. Just remember to make the leg part a little short so that it doesn't get stuck when there is a load on the trailer. But your ramp will only have to carry 2500lbs if all 4 wheels are going to be on it

What are the loose pins and brackets on loader bucket?

My loader is off at the moment. If I have time (and remember :o) tomorrow, I'll try to get a photo of my homemade set-up. It might make things clearer.

What are the loose pins and brackets on loader bucket?

The rectangular slot on the side of the bucket is where the leg goes for removing the loader. It goes from beyond the hole on the side of the bucket back and to the ground near the wheel. It is secured in place by screwing the bolts that hold the loader at the front of the tractor into the...

    COVID-19 Stuff

Whilst I applaud the sentiment, I'm not sure if I would trust my life to a mask made by a shoe manufacturer who is hoping to "ideally reach FDA standards". The danger with any PPE which is not specifically designed to a certain standard for a specific purpose is that someone who feels they are...

    Piling Pelion on Ossa

Its just an idea. If you anchor the front of the loader (by driving some pins into the gravel) would you be able to pull the back of the loader from the front with your tractor. this should lift the back of the loader and allow you to put something under the legs to keep them up. then reverse...

Would it take much to make a kinda stepped cam to fit into a sleeve so that you could make a post driver. you would of course need another swivel ;)

    3 point aerator conversion

I prefer mounted to trailed. The only downside is that now you can only work in straight lines but you gain so much more maneuverability.

I, too, hope he is right but I suspect you should maybe have a look for another doctor. Any health professionals I have spoken to in this country have never seen anything like it.

    Winter project

Thanks Guys, There wasn't really much to it once I got the gearbox freed up. It wasn't even that badly stuck. I had gotten all the measurements to repair the hopper with metal but didn't want to invest much in it if it was going to spew its guts the first day out. I noticed that I have to...

    Winter project

Kept meaning to finish this thread. Hopper was very rusty around the holes. So rather than trying to fabricate metal, I went with filler and metal mesh covered with fiberglass. My theory being that if I can get a couple of years out of it I can buy a new hopper later, if the gearbox lasts...
