Nice 'little' project to keep you busy. I usually 'prefab' everything out of wood. Easier to recut/drill holes/etc. that way the steel fab process is quick and accurate.
Does the tractor have enough GPM/pressure for the motor ?
As for the drum, there's a free 'cone layout' program on the web, somewhere. I've used it to make templates and smaller 'models' of things, like dust collectors......save a lot of 'four letter words in the air'........

I wish my welds looked as good as yours! I have a hard time seeing the difference between the blinding light and the puddle and usually put too much metal down and/or not enough heat or too much.

Wood you be able to give better welding advice?

A few things that help:

1. If you need reading glasses, wear them. Progressives lenses don't work very well at all because moving your head to see with the right part of the lens is a PITA. If you're welding stick, use a fan to blow the fumes away.

2. Rig a cheap halogen worklight to add more light. Use a soapstone to mark seams if you're having trouble seeing.

3. Prep butt seams by grinding a V, then fill the V.

That is slick...I like it. I assume that mixer is attached enough to use the loader to tilt and dump the mixed concrete?

Would it take much to make a kinda stepped cam to fit into a sleeve so that you could make a post driver. you would of course need another swivel

it's too pretty...best loan it out to a 'friend' who'll leave 1/3 of the concrete in it overnight.........
yeah, when I wanted to borrow a 1/3yd tow behind unit from a friend, HIS friend(1st guy to borrow it..) did the dirty deed...
I NEEDED it, so I spent 1/2 day chipping crete out and repairing the drum....
after that my friend NEVER loaned nothing to nobody, cept me.....

you should post a 'parts list' for other who want to make one.
