Can you still get solid tar/pitch? You know the stuff you have to melt in a galvanised bucket over a fire. That's what I'd use. No need for any packing material, just pour it in.

I likey. Only thing I might do different is have the drive belt aligned to the top groove on the blade pulley. Then you could have another blade/pulley driven off the bottom groove mounted inboard for twice the cutting

There is always trouble here with roaming dogs (esp. around lambing time). If your sheep are attacked, the Gardai (police) and dog wardens try first to catch the dog. Friend of mine who is a crane driver has the same problem. Retired 3 years ago but he has never been so busy. He keeps getting called to jobs because the young lads can't work the cranes in delicate situations or don't have enough certification.

I've always heard they were a pain in the a**e, now they are a pain in the neck too :D:D:D
