1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

I know how about 1 acre looks like, woods or grass…without any further details, I would consider it a large yard, especially if there is a house and everything associated on it. How about post a list of specific tasks you want to do with the machine (+pics pref). That may help people make a...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

To be honest, 1.3 acres is rather small and not large enough to justify a tractor. Garden tractor plus hand held power tools is what I’d recommend plus hire others to do any heavy lifting. If you really want a tractor for entertainment value, no larger than BX, though John Deere 1025R is better...

What nobody mentions about a BX

I think the 'under 25 HP club' is too busy trying to justify how they love having no DPF and don't have time to mention the fumes. Likewise, everyone with DPF isn't complaining because there are no fumes. You can add a diffuser or suppressor to the exhaust. This will reduce fumes and sound...

    Grapple. Wins and Losses

1.2 acres around my house on rural property about 75 acres mostly wooded. At one point I thought about bagging (many years ago) as I didn't know better on how to deal with leaves. Again - just some advise for anyone - if you haven't, try using your mower with sharp mulching blades and discharge...

    Grapple. Wins and Losses

My john deere x590 mulches dry leaves into invisible smithereens. Key here is dry which happens by early winter. I used to try bag till I realized it’s better all around to mulch them. I do this successfully in thick wooded trails too, so unless your leaves don’t dry out, it’s hard to imagine...

    Diverter valve for mini excavator

Yea I've been doing some digging... Basically I only need two 3 way valves that I can just attach in between my thumb connection (T off). However the problem I'm running into is I don't want a lever sticking out as it's going to get snagged on something. I'd rather have a nut... I don't think I...

    Diverter valve for mini excavator

I have a hydraulic thumb on the backhoe (L47) and would like to get a tilt ditching bucket. When installing the bucket, I'd like to be able to keep the thumb connected (no quick disconnects on it), but also use the tilt bucket cylinder. Picture and part number is basically a manual divert...

    Diverter valve for mini excavator

If someone knew what the mount hole spacing, it would help determine if it works on L47. Also does it come with 2? 1 per side... Price is now $800...hopefully that isn't just 1 tiny manual valve...

Is this still the latest way for a kubota KX or TLB model to get a diverter valve on boom? Can't find any info...

Looking for advice on rear remotes setup for L3902...

I agree with others... too many valves. Problem stems from you thinking that top and tilt will always be connected. Question though... do you have top and tilt cylinders and have you used it? For one, there is no factory top and tilt kit for that tractor. You can easily find a top cylinder that...

    Southern attachments

I saw this 'southern' brand on dealer lot, however there is literally no info about available online. I think it's rebranded china stuff because of how cheap they are willing to sell it for...I was looking for landpride and dealer had southern saying 'you're saving so much money,' which I'm not...

[NC/VA area] Homestead Pinnacle Series heavy duty 5 foot (60 inch) bush hog (rotary cutter)

It is never used since delivery about 6 months ago. Since then, I upgraded to a larger tractor, which needs a 72 inch wide mower to cover the rear tracks. This one is good match for B, LX series, and L series at 60 inch cut. Local pickup or I can deliver in a reasonable distance. Freight will...

L47 TLB random popping sound coming from rear going over bumps?

Anyone know anything about this? It is really intermittent and sounds kind of like a crunch or pop. Seems to occur when weight shifts quickly left to right. I checked everything and can't seem to pin point the cause. I thought it might be the backhoe shifting on the cradle or another backhoe...

Has anyone filled their tires with fluid and regretted it?

Maybe it depends on the tractor and what is designed to do. My l3301 had filled tires and backhoe. This worked great as the weight of the tractor was a limiting factor in various tasks. Some downsides: - You can’t remove the rear tires. At about 350lb each, they’re just too heavy to man...
