Anyone know anything about this? It is really intermittent and sounds kind of like a crunch or pop. Seems to occur when weight shifts quickly left to right.
I checked everything and can't seem to pin point the cause. I thought it might be the backhoe shifting on the cradle or another backhoe part, but all of that isn't shifting. It is rather loud and obvious even with my headphones on. Almost sounds like I smashed a big stick or wacked the tractor, but there nothing like that is happening (unless it's a ghost...). It's so inconsistent is what's killing me to find out why it's happening.
There are some posts saying the rear rims get cracked around the tapered lug nuts. I don't think that is it as all the lug nut torque is good and I don't see any cracks or anything obviously wrong.
Side point...mine had a rattling roof/ FOPS that I fixed by removing some bolts and removing metal shavings around them (created from lock washers and they would rattle inside like crazy at certain RPMs due to vibrations going up the loader mounts).
