What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Most of the fence was short pieces, 50' or less and in hard shape. I put it on CL for free and somebody came and got it. I've got a crapload of metal fence posts tho. After I get settled in to the new routine I may sell some of them. Or not, it don't cost a dime for them to sit in a corner...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I decided this Spring that this would be my last year raising sheep. A week ago today, I took the last load of lambs to the slaughter house. Since then, I've been "de-sheepifying" the place. Removing gates so I can actually get from A to B without getting on and off the tractor a half-dozen...

Fluid filled tires and water crossing.

Assuming a solid (gravel or bedrock) bottom on the river, the weight of the filled tires may help keep the current from shoving the tractor downstream. Doesn't seem like it'd make a lot of difference tho. If you were able to safely cross with out them, adding them will likely not make the...

    New B2650 steering

Haven't had a problem with mine. Were you trying to lift the load and steer at the same time? If so, priority flow may have been an issue. Did you have anything for a counterweight on the back? If not, may just have been too much weight on the front wheels. Other than that, I got nothing.

    I wana ask sumthin

Wait...what? Doesn't EVERYBODY live that way? Well, except for city-dwelling knuckleheads that think all food comes from the store. Grew, butchered and froze 4 dozen chickens this summer. Do that every year. Got six lambs in the pasture with and an appointment at the end of this month that...

    Another Curtis cab question

Even the factory cab is noisy on my B2650. I just keep a pair of headphone-type ear protectors in the cab.

    Daily Chuckle

One of them hits a little close to home. I'll take the Fifth on which one...

    Daily Chuckle

I've seen that video used on 3 or 4 different subjects now, and it never fails to leave me rolling on the floor laughing so hard I can't breathe. :D

Rear Work Light Connectors on B2650HSDC

So, I wound up just using some water-proof, heatshrink bullet connectors I already had on hand. Mounted a pair of 27W Tufflite's to the bracket the 4-way flashers were mounted to. Just extended the arm with a piece of flat stock to get the light housing far enough away from the cab to allow...

Do you ever feel like you get too attached to your Kubota?

Tell me about it. Originally, it was two lots. Prior to that, it was everything in the picture and then some. Wife's grandparents owned it all, then sold lots off on either side and to the rear. Wife's father sold us the house and an acre, then when he and wife's mom divorced...

Rear Work Light Connectors on B2650HSDC

Those are close and would work if I replaced the stock connector and used them as a matched set. I'll keep that link and let you know what the final solution was. Thanks!

Rear Work Light Connectors on B2650HSDC

This is the connector for the rear work lights on the cab of my Kubota B2650. It's about 3/8" wide and 3/4" long. I want to mount a pair of 27 watt LED floods for blowing snow this winter. I don't want to go with the Kubota factory work lights because: 1. They're stupid expensive 2...

Do you ever feel like you get too attached to your Kubota?

Well, I dunno about "attached" but I do giggle like a little girl every time I reach up and turn the AC on! :D I was born and raised on a 120 acre farm in mid-Michigan. Other than as required by my military career, I've never lived in a city and never intend to. I've been working on my place...

    New B 2650 won't start.

Not cranking over at all, or cranking but not starting? Most likely suspect is a safety interlock somewhere. Hydro pedal not in neutral (possibly mis-adjusted) PTO in gear or switch misadjusted, Operator Presence issue.

Who do you let drive your tractor (unsupervised)?

Fortunately, there's no one around my operation that's the least bit interested. I did let one or another of my sons-in-law drive my John Deere when doing work around their places, but even then they'd rather I did it myself. Which is fine with me!

    Hooking up 3PT implements..........HELP!!!!!!!

On my tiller, I lower it slowly while watching the top link. There is a balance point at which the top link goes slack, neither in tension holding the tiller up, nor in compression from the tiller tilting forward. At this point, pull the pin out of the top link. My tiller has support legs for...

    Grandfather Thread

Unfortunately, lost both of my Grandfathers before I was 7. Only vague (but fond) memories of either of them. My younger daughter lives just around the corner from me and I've had both of her boys around since they were in diapers. Older one is now married and a Corporal in the USMC. Younger...

    Dump Trailer finally finished

Excellent work, and yes, pictures, please! I would be VERY interested in any pictures/details of the hoist. I built a dump trailer with the cylinder directly connected between the frame and the bed because A) I didn't know any better and B) it's what I had laying around in the junk pile. It...

    12V connector in B2650 cab

Update: It appears to be a Packard/Delphi Series 56 connector. Gonna order up a couple and see what's what.

    Work Light Connectors

Another project is rear worklights on my B2650 Cab. I want to go with LED rather than the factory incandescents. 2 questions: 1) I'm assuming this is the pre-wired work light connector? The other leads are for the hazard lights. 2) Source for the male portion of the connector? Again...
