    PTO shaft too wobbly?

My rough cut has one tight blade that will do that as well. It comes and goes. Some day I will figure out how to remove the blades so I can loosen the blade. It's been like that since new. I just built a new PTO shaft for my JD 1209 MoCo. The Supply chains really sucks, the correct shaft is...

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

There is a 37 gallon tank that I considered. The 50 gallon is easier to store and move though. For you needs it is overkill. Consider one of these instead, can wheel it around and if you have a trailer, just roll it right on, get it filled and roll it right off.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Yeah I agree, in the long run it gets a lot done, but compared to what I was paying in 2020, it is quite a hit. Back then I could drive to Nebraska towing my 5th wheel RV and have money to pay for the campsite!

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Since I have pallet forks I built a transfer setup on a pallet. 50 gallon tank I got on sale at Farm and Fleet, and on Amazon got the pump and filter, both Fill-Right, made in USA, and both kits less than what the local stores are selling the china bomb stuff at. It's a 15 GPM pump and will...

Out of Fuel .... Stupid stupid stupid

I have this wood chipper that I bought several years ago, has a 15HP gas engine. I brought it out, changed the oil, choked it, turned on the gas, and it started on the first pull. I open the choke, it runs a little and quits. Try starting it, nothing. close choke, it starts right up WTF? I...

    Trailer advice

Well got me beat, Horse trailer, 5th wheel RV, 6x12 enclosed and a 5.5x10 flat. I am considering selling the horse trailer and flatbed to get a 10K 24'.

    Fuel prices

Depending on how far and what type of driving, even with diesel being more expensive, the price averages out to be the same. For where I drive, 60 miles one way to the office on 55 MPH county roads cruise set to 61 MPH for an average overall speed of 45 MPH, I get 21 MPG in my F150 and 19.7 in...

    Kubota B, L, etc. oil

The part that bugs me is that even though I run the carb dry, it only has fuel when running, and yet there are crystalline deposits in the bowl. Happened twice on my Champion generator, and once on one of the other engines. I can tell it needs cleaning when it no longer runs off choke after a...

    Kubota B, L, etc. oil

The way I see it, if they meet or exceed the minimum requirements, heck yeah they are OK to use. The main thing about Diesel oil it the ability to suspend particulates in order to be filtered out, and not sink to the bottom of the pan or top of the head to turn into sludge. Everything else is...

    Fuel prices

I just got a Gas Buddy card, it saved my .06 per gallon recently, but it wasn't for a full tank, so only saved .57 cents, however it also has a $75 limit, so I have to fill it above a half tank for a full fill. Thankfully I am close to the border to WI and can save up to .70 a gallon going 18...

    Kubota - L4455A - 4 POINT HITCH AND SUBFRAME and LA805 FEL

Most of the time the guys installing the equipment toss the manuals since they have no use for them, so if you didn't get the operators manual, then someone tossed it and didn't give it to the sales guy. I asked for the loader install manual when I got my tractor since I will need it to install...

    Transaxle whine when traveling

IF the fluid foams when full, there is a leak in the system allowing air to mix in the pump. Since the whine you hear is only while traveling, that means the main pump might have a bad seal. I would suggest first doing a full system drain, remove both filters and replace them and pull the...

L4701 Regen twice in first 20 hrs?

Thats too bad. Good learning tool when you first get one of these. I have 15 hours on now and 20% on the readout. Going to see if I can get it down to 1% per hour of use.

    Fuel prices

Well, on the plus side, Ammo prices came down a bit. Found 5.56 for .47 a round, and copper plated .22 for .07 per round. Stocking up while I can. With diesel costs going up, get it while shipping is still free. I bought a 50 gallon tank for my tractors, have yet to fill it up, afraid to...

Here's a Video from Neil regarding the subframe. Should give you some insight on how it is installed.

L4701 Regen twice in first 20 hrs?

I can tell you that the first few hours I had mine, I quickly jumped the DPF up to 10% from all the idling and driving it around on auto throttle. It wasn't until I started actually using it that I throttled it up and burned cleaner.

L4701 Regen twice in first 20 hrs?

If yours has the DFP display, keep an eye on it, will tell percentage of particulates. A regen dumps raw fuel increasing the DPF temps to burn off the carbon, so when the filter shows it hitting 50%, go find something that will stress the engine, like mowing thick grass, or tilling up something...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Pulled my side rake out to repair it after it broke a yoke last week. Thankfully I found a yoke and u-joints that fit and didn't cost a small fortune, so that has been repaired, but I had to take all the tine bars off and all the bearing housings off, clean them, and toss out whatever bearings...
