What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I know these here feller who cut down some trees yesterday, that was me. I got some work done over the weekend, racking up the hours on the new tractor. Those pallet forks are a blessing! Built a 5 gallon fuel tank for refueling both tractors, took longer to pour 20 gallons in the tank from 4...

    Toolbox ideas for L4060HST-C

I start going through my stuff and find an aluminum angle that is the perfect size. Then I check it with the can, Yep it would fit, BUT, too thin to support the weight, I feel it would twist in motion and smack the glass behind it. Going to get an 1/8" thick aluminum one instead. I want to use...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Would that stump bucket be able to dig out silver maple stumps? I have a few of those where instead of one trunk there are a dozen, I also have a few pine stumps to remove. Looks a lot easier to use than a backhoe.

    Toolbox ideas for L4060HST-C

My B2410 the BH is on has a box under the seat, but all I have in the cab on the L4060 is on the left side, and it is not ideal for tools and stuff. I keep gloves and lynch pins in it.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I had my septic replaced last November. The pipes are about 5' above the basement floor and one is still the original pipe from 1964. They moved the tank out away from the house a good 15-20 feet from where the old one was and now waiting for the back fill to fully settle before going to work...

    Toolbox ideas for L4060HST-C

After looking it over, the tie in between brackets will do the trick. Now to go get an ammo can. I LOL at myself yesterday when I started looking for my battery can, which is an old army 50 cal can and discovered I have 5 cans of ammo, I forgot I had one full of .223 and 9mm under my work bench.

Storage? Portable Canopy Garage, door is too short.

I have one inside my garage that is used for cold weather repairs and during the summer as a paint booth. The wind affects it even being inside. With the door open the wind can get the sides flapping.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Put both tractors to work over the weekend. I pulled down all the fencing except the old arena which will get new tape and insulators. Moved all the round pen panels in one load with the forks, man those are great. Got the B2410 out and had the kids splitting logs while I pulled more fencing...

    Toolbox ideas for L4060HST-C

As I sit here in my office/workshop I glanced over and saw the ammo cans my pew pews are stored in. I wonder of the 50 cal steel can would fit. I think I will empty it out and test fit it. Too heavy to try and figure out how it would mount with one hand and take measurements with the other if I...

Storage? Portable Canopy Garage, door is too short.

Check into VersaTube car ports. They do need to be anchored with round tube footings, but they stand up to all kinds of weather. I am just south of the WI border, and we get winds exceeding 80MPH at times, just ask my roof which is missing 6 squares and waiting on insurance to go through to get...

    Toolbox ideas for L4060HST-C

There are two brackets in the rear under the cab, one covered by the SMV, but the other looks like there is room. I need some ideas for a tool box.

Frustration with waiting on new Kubota order

TTWT posted an auction he went to for both tractors and attachments. The prices were all over the place, but I feel if there were more buyers the prices would have been much higher. A fairly new B2600 with loader and remotes went for a high price, I think it sold for more than the original...

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

AH, I had to look closer at the label, it was sun faded from sitting outside, all I saw was synthetic, missed the blend part. Either case, still going to sample before changing it. the last change was the dealer fill, no clue what oil was put in, but the lab results were promising.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Well, 48* and sunny. What a Beautiful day it was. I got the tractor out with the pallet forks, pulled out the round pen panels that were stuck behind the hay barn for who knows how many years, and build a paddck for my horse so I can tear out the fencing and reconfigure his pasture area. My...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hmm, I wonder if this is something I should add to my new bucket to help maintain the gravel drive. I will also be digging out a section between my newer drive and the barn, making it go all the way to the barn and widening it at the back. Does it also stiffen the edge? I would assume yes with...

What is the purpose of this edge? My new bucket is drilled for one, but not sure what I would ever use it for.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Made an Equal Angle hitch for my John Deere 1209 MoCo to fit the drawbar on my L4060. Just need to drill two more holes, weld on the nuts and give it a coat of paint. I still need some practice with the Flux Core wire, I may have used too thin a wire for the 1/4" plate, should have gone to...

How are Military Tank Turrets Mounted?

On tanks, the weight keeps the turret in place, but on ships there are clamps underneath the ring as keepers. On the Iowa class battleships, if the ship were to turn turtle, the guns will remain in place because of these keepers. If in doubt, watch Ryan's videos on Battleship New Jersey. He...

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

I have to change the oil in my F350. Thats only 4 gallons of the stuff. Last time I used Rotella T5 full synthetic, it was about $80 in oil and filter to do it myself. I also have to change the oil in my F150 and that one MUST be synthetic or at least Semi Synthetic. I am considering going...

    upgrading a L4060 Limited

Yeah, I got locally made forks, 2000# capacity, for $699. Work like a charm, though they could be a little longer, but work for the majority of my stuff. They fit a standard pallet just fine. I bought a Tar River SAYA 505 a couple weeks ago and had trouble getting it off the trailer, not due...
