    Mini Excavator Recommendations

I have a bunch of slopes as well. So steep are some that I decided a 3 pt logging winch was a much safer choice, even than a mini ex. Fell then skid them out. Watch this video from Mike over at Outdoors with the Morgans. I think this is great use of the excavator. Mike has tractors, and...

    Mini Excavator Recommendations

Mini-ex is great for trenching, but I guess it depends on the size of the trench. Mike is probably thinking a 1-2 ton machine, which is great for water lines but not so good for a foundation trench. The 4 ton machines have 24-36 inch buckets and are capable if you dont have super hard ground...

    Never been more disappointed

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I hope they can get you squared away. If not, I wonder if you can push the dealer to get you a B2650 cab without taking a hit on the B2601?

    Snow removal problem

Now this is interesting I like it Mike! Have you noticed any significant wear in the tires during non winter months after grooving them?

    Snow removal problem

Chains. These will also prevent you from sliding sideways. R4s are like skis running across the tire, they have no real gripping ability left and right on ice, only front and back (if that makes sense).

Moved a deer stand with my pallet forks today

Very nice! Perhaps it would have taken less time to build another ;). Nonetheless I would have done the same. Nothing like using the tractor!

    Grandl3560

I dont own a L3560, but it was the L series I demoed for a few hours before making a final purchase decision. What I can tell you is in my opinion it has the smoothest operating FEL and Hydrostatic transmission of any tractor in this size range. I looked at JD, LS, TYM, Kioti, Massey. The...

    Mini Excavator Recommendations

Beautiful property, thanks for sharing. I looked very hard at a mini ex. Kubota KX040-4 specifically. I have 40 ish acres of woods and rocks. Lots of trees that need to be cleared. Starting with why I decided against it: 1. Operating cost - excavators are expensive to operate. More...

    L2501 - What can't it do...

    1. Mowing, snow blowing, and haying are HP intensive tasks. I am not surprised you get bogged down when moving and going up a hill with the loader on and the rears filled. Perhaps removing the FEL when mowing in hilly areas as common practice is going to work out better. 2. Backhoe -...

Regrading and filling in sand road?

Crusher run or a mix of 2 inch size rock down to dust is a pretty stable mix for roads. Sand sounds very messy to me, but it is easy to shape. We have DG here in Colorado (dissentigrated granite) which is already variable size and it is fantastic road material. In TX we had sandy loam and it...

    M62 vs M7060 with backhoe

Awesome great to hear. Let us know what you decide on, and post some picks once you get it! I am a bit jealous. That 4 in1 does look fun to use. One additional point on the 3rd function. Make sure you get true independent third function if it is available on the L (sorry I am not sure)...

    Factory Battery

It seems keeping the battery on a trickle charger during the winter is popular (some call it a battery tender). Not sure if it really helps, but electrically it makes sense. You can of course check the output of your batteries to see if it dips below mfg specs. If cells are dead the output...

I really like that front blade. I am on a bucket right now, snow blade will be my next winter purchase.

need some advice from my expert Kubby friends with snow pusher

Here is that video. If you loose front traction, Neil recommends adjusting bucket curl to see if you can level the loader enough to get weight back on the front tires. This looks like it would work great if you have a paved, level surface to scrape. I also noticed he was pointing to the...

How to clean up after hydroaxe?

I had about 10 acres forestry mulched 2 years ago with a Fecon FT128. You think that hydroaxe is wicked you should see this thing. It threw large chunks of wood 100 ft. You could be nowhere close to it when operating. We had hundreds of beetle kill pines. The finer stuff is breaking down...
