Got my new B2601 w Curtis premium cab a couple weeks ago. BX5455HD front blower

From the very first time I opened the door to use it, it has been nothing but disappointment

opened door- floorboard covered in snow
Ice on all windows inside and out (tractor heated up)
iced over windshield with only one little area you can see through - have to lean to the right entire time to see.
Snow and cold coming in hitting me in the face and back of head (front and rear roof area)
windshield seals will not stay on
have to move hand to the outer left part of joystick to rotate right bc when you push to the right your hand will not fit between the joystick and the door
windshield will only open maybe 1 to 2 inches at bottom instead of normal

maybe forgot something else idk

Dealer has the tractor now and says they will try to fix it, I'm hoping for the best but we will see. Every problem I brought up his answer was well its an aftermarket cab

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I hope they can get you squared away. If not, I wonder if you can push the dealer to get you a B2650 cab without taking a hit on the B2601?

We have a 2009 B3200 with a dealer installed Curtis cab w/heater. The cab has been taken off several times in its life by the previous owner. It's not air tight, but we have not had any of those problems. Curtis cabs seem to be well thought out for mounting, and have thick rubber gaskets between it and the tractor.

My biggest problem is the airflow out of the heater, not enough air directed toward the windshield. Fixed it by adding some plumbing to the top heater vent to re-direct the air flow.

I had a Curtis cab too and had many of the same problems. The last straw was when I needed some new window latches (original plastic ones broke), I emailed the factory for pn's and prices and they never replied to one of my many emails. I got rid of the tractor and cab. Worst factory company service ever!!

My response to the dealer would be, "YOU sold it to me, so why didn't you tell me it would be a piece of s**t? You sold it, you fix it. End of conversation."

The dealer made good money selling you the cab - they're responsible for making it right, or refunding your money.

BTW, I have an aftermarket Curtis cab on my B7510. No, it's not weather-tight, but it's nice and warm, the windows are clear of frost, and a few minutes of sealing up gaps makes it pretty draft-free. Yesterday it was -10C and I had to take my coat off when I was blowing snow. Your dealer's response is wholly unsatisfactory.

A buddy of mine had a Curtis cab on his JD 1025r. Used it for a year and sold it for pennies on the dollar just to get rid of it. He had to add fuel from inside the cab because the cab was outboard of the fuel filler...nice if you spill a few teaspoons full.

He felt that the cab made the tractor feel much more "tippy" on sidehills and such.
