    Buying an L4701DT shuttle?

Thank you for the reply. Without a doubt the tractor will have R4 tires. The ag tires are OK, but they would chew up the lawn. I'm not going to plow or disc, so the R4 tires will provide sufficient grip for my needs. I will have plenty of room for setting the tires at maximum width. Any...

    Buying an L4701DT shuttle?

I pored over all of the Kubota info and finally settled on the L4701DT, shuttle shift,R4 tires with front end loader and backhoe. I sold my Case 680CK a few years back and am moving from NJ to WV within a month or three. Bought the house in WV last March. I have a bit over 10 acres, 36x48...

What to do when Dealer Relations go bad????

You are correct, it shouldn't be a problem. I just don't trust plastic and heat combined with pressure. By the time the oil lite comes on it is too late. God forbid they put in an actual oil pressure gauge. Asked the dealer why they didn't have an oil pressure or water temp gauge and he said...

What to do when Dealer Relations go bad????

I bought the aluminum Toyota unit off of Amazon for $18. Don't trust plastic and hot oil mixing.

What to do when Dealer Relations go bad????

I have always checked anything that i have bought from end to end the day following purchase, whether used or new. My 06 GMC was only low on washer fluid. When I get my Kubota I will check all the fasteners and fluids. I guess that you could say that I have trust issues...LOL.

What to do when Dealer Relations go bad????

I brought mine back to the selling dealer for warranty work and they wanted to do an oil change (the 7500 mile change). First, I told them that I changed the oil and filter at 50 miles, then at 5K, and then I took the paper out of my wallet and read off all the low fluids and how much it took...

What to do when Dealer Relations go bad????

Not to defend Kubota, I admit that I do not have any of their equipment, which will change next year. However, their attitude I can say is parallel to Toyota when it comes to new vehicle set up and warranty work. From what I hear from reliable people, much the same can be said for the other...

Some of you may remember my Post about my B2601 breaking in half!

I put a line pointing to what I believe is your ring. From your jpeg #1 If that isn't it, it is the item to the right of it.

Some of you may remember my Post about my B2601 breaking in half!

I'm probably wrong, but your mystery 'washer' looks suspiciously like the precision ground spacer used behind the carrier bearings in a rear axle. It is shown in your Kubota parts schematic next to the carrier bearing and ring gear, but I cannot make out the item number on the schematic. It...

Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

I bought a lot of relays and switches from Mouser when I rebuilt my 17X60 lathe. Great people to deal with, quality parts.

    Linex’d my “step”

Makes you wonder why Kubota puts a rubber mat on a steel pan, instead of just coating the whole surface, top and bottom. No rust, good traction and quiets the noise.

    hydraulic hose protectors with velcro

Old post, I know. I have successfully used spiral wrap hose protectors. Easy to install, last forever, and protect the hoses better than the sleeve style, especially if you run more than one hose per sleeve. Also, a bit cheaper than the sleeve style. Google 'spiral wrap hose protectors and...

    What were the engineers thinking?

Use roll pins in their place. Easy to remove, will never "self remove", nothing sticking outside to catch on anything.

    Mx5200 hst 4x4 600hr transmission filter change

Old post, I know. I worked in a machine shop finishing castings that were part of the hydraulic system of injection mold machines. We rotated between jobs, drilling, milling, boring and final inspection. If a part that I inspected and stamped my number on was found with trash in it, I would be...

    Grounding and Bonding Fuel Stations

About 5 years ago in January, our doctor handed out a questionnaire. Do you smoke...how much do you drink...how much do you do illegal drugs...what drug(s) and how much, do you have unprotected sex....how often and do you have guns in the home...how many. I wrote "none of your damn business"...

    Greased the FEL today...

I should have mentioned that my HF grease gun is 21 years old. Have no idea what the new units are like as far as quality. The lock n lube is nice, but it does nothing that a new standard Lincoln unit can do. The coupler that fastens on the zerk fitting wears out and leaks grease or gets...

Replacing the Alternator with GM Delco Remy 10SI

well, I guess it spins at sufficient speed at idle. Does it put out full amperage @ governed engine speed if the battery is drawn down? I didn't think a 10SI charged at such a low rpm.

Replacing the Alternator with GM Delco Remy 10SI

The only problem that you may encounter is low charging amperage. That alternator is designed for a gas engine which spins at higher rpm than your tractor diesel engine. They pulleys on the gas engine crankshaft are much larger, so the alternator spins faster all all engine speeds. This may...

    Inexpensive Lighting upgrade

Sounds good, thank you. His comment about the headlights illuminating the back of the bucket is a big concern with tractors fitted with front buckets.

L4701 I am an idiot how screwed am I ?

Sometimes a coincidence is just that. I am happy that it all worked out for the best. Your dealer certainly deserves all of the praise that they receive. They could have very easily dumped the whole mess in your lap.
