Kubota L47 intellipanel reads in metric measures

Gentlemen, I will try all of your suggestions tomorrow. Thank you for your help. Hopefully something will work, because sure as hell, Kubota doesn't care. Actually, I don't care, but something like this, being assembled and partially built in the US should have the the readouts in US...

Kubota L47 intellipanel reads in metric measures

And that is how it was taken, and I was laughing as I typed your reply. I'm sorry, I'm still a bit cranky from the migraine. I sent an email to Kubota corporate to see if they have an answer. PS I'm close to kissing 70 on the butt myself.

Kubota L47 intellipanel reads in metric measures

I understand that. It was built in Japan, or some of it was built in Japan, which is metric. As is Mercedes Benz, Toyota and other European built cars, and they read in imperial units. I'm sure the readout on the dash on Kubota tractors destined for Japan read out in Japanese and not English...

Kubota L47 intellipanel reads in metric measures

Mine has the mode button below the tach. Holding it for 15 seconds as recommended by the Kubota mechanic did nothing.

Kubota L47 intellipanel reads in metric measures

For some reason the intellipanel on my L47 reads in metric, such as liters per hour of fuel consumption, kmh rather than mph. Is there a way to swap it over to imperial readings? I contacted Messicks and was called by their head mechanic who said that he could find no mention of how to swap...

    Engine RPM Not Coming Down

The only time I had an experience with a diesel that wouldn't return to idle as normal was with my VW diesel Rabbit. I was driving to work and about half way thru a long left hand bend when the engine just took off on its own. I went from 55 mph to almost 70 when I pushed in the clutch. By...

    Homemade Sauerkraut

Probably the excess liquid leeched from the cabbage would drive them off if poured in their holes. Wait, that sounded a bit odd.... You know what I mean.

    What to teach your son.....

I remember one that my grandfather who was born in 1860 told me when I was 12 or 13 years old. Every generation thinks that they discovered sex.

    Homemade Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut consists of one layer of shredded cabbage followed by a layer of salt. My grandmother and parents always used coarse Kosher salt. You don't want iodized salt, it ruins the taste. For a topper, use a dinner plate or plate that fits into your crock and a quart jar filled with water...

Bucket mouse trap - is there a better bait then Peanut butter?

A strip of smoked bacon works great, or a piece of home made smoked ham. The smoke scent carries and mice, at least the ones that I've encountered, love the bait.

When you are thinking you had a bad day, but bet it is not as bad as this grandmother's day

Old post, I know. When I was 4 years old, my fathers job at Alcoa Aluminum in Edgewater NJ was closing and moving to PA. So he had a choice, to move from our home in North Jersey to PA or seek a job in another company. Through a stroke of luck, a house was for sale across the street from my...

    My Kubota Helper

I contacted Kawasaki directly and asked them the maximum angle that the engine can safely operate. I assumed since they manufactured the engine they would know. Sure beats laying out $1K for a new engine.

My 2023 L47 has those on each top corner of the bucket. Labelled "not for lifting/pulling.

I have a Kawasaki FH721V that runs an oil pump. You can use it on slopes, but the manufacturer states nothing over 30 degrees if cutting along the slope or the engine will starve.

90 weight gear oil is about the same as 50 weight engine oil. Get the heaviest single weight oil you can buy and add some Motor Honey or STP to it. Gear oil is not meant for internal combustion engines and will not do the engine any good.

    My Kubota Helper

The reason I asked about cutting on slopes is that my mother destroyed one push mower per year mowing our yard that had quite a large number of slopes. The oil ran away from the crankshaft and you'd get a rod knock. I bought her a 2 stroke Lawn Boy mower and never had a problem again.

    My Kubota Helper

Heavy weight oil will take up some of the clearance that is causing the knock, but you have to realize that it won't cure the cause. Do you by chance mow hilly terrain with this mower or the sides of hills?
