Return to sump location on L47 for lane Shark

Their best replies contained a lot of "perhaps, maybe and possibly" to take for fact.

Return to sump location on L47 for lane Shark

Dan, Thank you. My tractor came with a third function already installed. I can use that to power the lane Shark and a dedicated return to the sump. It is my understanding that a toggle switch in tied into my Kubota third function switch (so that I have the valve constantly open) will serve...

Return to sump location on L47 for lane Shark

I did just that. Alas, the L47 is plumbed differently than your standard L series tractor. I found plenty of info, but none that I could apply to my tractor.

Return to sump location on L47 for lane Shark

I've scoured every source that I can find and I cannot find where the return to sump line (or access port) is on my L47. I want to buy a Lane Shark this spring, and would like to have all of my hydraulic ducks in a row before I put the money down on the unit. Thank you in advance for your help.

Kubota L4701 150 hours rear end stripped gear popping noise. NOW WITH VIDEO

I have to say that I'm not thrilled with the parking brakes on my new L47. I posted an article on here about it creeping after I set the parking brake on a fairly steep incline and left the tractor. For some reason the brakes work if you have to use them to stop the machine, but when applied...

Kubota L4701 150 hours rear end stripped gear popping noise. NOW WITH VIDEO

I'll put $50 on a brake related problem. Friction discs sticking to the steel discs, misassembled (two friction or two steel next to one another), bad friction material on the discs or out of spec parts. The fact that it doesn't make the noise when starting from a stop uphill makes it unlikely...

Kubota L4701 150 hours rear end stripped gear popping noise. NOW WITH VIDEO

The first time is a bit difficult, well, not difficult, time consuming to make sure you have everything disconnected, etc as not to break or bend anything. Half hour or a bit more the first time I'd say.

Kubota L4701 150 hours rear end stripped gear popping noise. NOW WITH VIDEO

I recently bought a Kubota L47 TLB. While I haven't used it hard (only twenty some hours, taking it easy for the first 50 hours) I AM quite pleased with the power. It is taking me a while to become accustomed to the backhoe controls, as they are different than those on my Case 680CK that I...

Kubota L4701 150 hours rear end stripped gear popping noise. NOW WITH VIDEO

No expert by any means, but that noise sounds like your brakes. If it were gearing, you would get the grind/chatter when you initially start UP the slope, which never happened. I understand what you said about the parking brake on your tractor. My new L47 was parked nose uphill with the...

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

I have experienced Weimaraner farts, bulldog farts, great dane farts and mutt farts. NOTHING can hold a candle to a cat fart. Tho they are very infrequent (thank you), when they DO happen, they will stop you cold and make you choke. You can literally TASTE them. Think about vaporized cat...

    Non ethanol gas

I had the opportunity to burn one tank of Sheetz alcohol free regular gas (90 octane and 3 cents less per gallon than the alcohol laced garbage). My Tacoma loved it. Better performance and slightly better fuel mileage, between 2 and 3 mpg. I'm positive on the mpg, as I calculate my mileage at...

Wiring in lane shark on l3902…

I am currently looking at the hydraulic/electrical hookup for a LS2 Lane Shark for my L47. There is basically zero information available from the manufacturers website and speaking to their "experts" on the phone is akin to talking to a stone. They know NOTHING.

Buyer Beware: MOWER KING Smooth Compactor #SSVR72

That would make sense why the fuel tank never smells like gasoline, but I can't see that working on a diaphragm carb, but I'm sure they have something figured out for that.

Buyer Beware: MOWER KING Smooth Compactor #SSVR72

That I can tell you. Well, at least how they did it 40 plus years ago. The engine is filled with oil, started, checked for leaks and odd noises, and then the engine is tilted , the drain plug is removed along with the fill plug. A hose with low air pressure is put in the fill hole and the oil...

I wonder if new made in China Kubota's could be imported.

Typical (lack of) Chinese quality would explain the low price, along the the low wages paid to the workers.

Kubota L47 intellipanel reads in metric measures

Well, I discovered how to change to US units of measure. I didn't sign on this morning, but I did look thru my service manual. As MapleLeafFarmer said, it is in option J. Hold down the mode button, turn the key on and select option J. Tap mode to go to MPH, then hold down mode to select MPH...
