Proof that God exists......Miracles do happen.

RWS! Sorry for your mishap but grateful you dodged a bullet. I am stunned that you didn't hit lung, heart, or great vessels with that impalement injury. Your story parallels that of Phineas Gage, without the brain damage of course. Always appreciative of your advice here on the forum. Glad...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Fired up WoodMaxx chipper for the first time. My first PTO driven implement experience. Even with deflector all the way down, overshot the truck. Finished and found windshield and hood covered in chips. Will have to park truck on uphill side tomorrow.

Finally finished assembly of WoodMaxx chipper. Apparently their employees are happy with their work. See pic #2.

    PTO Extender

Thanks all. Appreciate the reassurance and advice. I'll look into it. The shortest extender is 3 inches. Have to make sure it doesn't bottom out but still short enough to fit between shafts.

    PTO Extender

Despite looking at many videos and reading multiple instructions on cutting the PTO shaft for my chipper, I managed to cut it too short. I am completely stymied why it turned out this way and am agonizing over it. The shaft overlap is about 4 inches. I understand the recommended overlap is 6. I...

    Setting up WoodMaxx chipper.

Thanks Mike. Any pics available? Sounds like a great idea.

    Setting up WoodMaxx chipper.

Thanks Elliot. I use Pat's quick hitch but still cannot make connections. Shaft is too long at shortest compression. So will see tomorrow.

    Setting up WoodMaxx chipper.

Tha Thanks NCL. Funny you said that because I've watched multiple videos multiple times today. The written instructions are quite confusing. Basically, I've boiled it down to determining the shortest length at all positions of the 3 pt and then giving myself 3 extra inches shorter for wiggle...

    Setting up WoodMaxx chipper.

Thanks PoTree and Mike. Appreciate the feedback. Hadn't considered the PT wood corrosion issue. That's important for fasteners but I had nor considered contact with the steel frame. Perhaps bolting on a plastic pallet, or instead, strips of plastic flooring/membrane a "gasket" between wood and...

    Setting up WoodMaxx chipper.

Just uncrating WoodMaxx MX 8800. Most robust boxing/palletizing I have ever seen. Of course after unboxing, saw that the 3 pt was facing the wrong way so will need to turn it around with pallet forks to expose approach for the 3 pt. It is bolted to the pallet and am thinking of mounting pressure...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Surprise early delivery from Woodmaxx. Used tractor and forks to bring chipper in yard and under cover. Will open and setup this weekend. Have plenty of accumulated brush piles to process. Speaking of forks, I had no idea how useful and versatile pallet forks are. My most used implement by far.

    Concealed Carry Gun?

Sig P239 in 9mm. Fits like a glove; easy to stay on target. Sadly, they discontinued it.

    L6060 Regen cycle

New L6060 owner. Have 22 hours on it thus far. Yesterday, while parked but running, regen lights came on (regen and parked regen light flashing). A beep occurred every 5 seconds. I increased rpms until the increase rpm indicator when out, but even following the instructions in the manual, I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yep, she would love a bed up there if I could get her to sit still. Not quite a year old yet so boundless energy. Wears me out. I don't get much done when she's at the lot with me, but it is fun. Was able to get a few boards on the carryall back (3 pt hitch side) done before the rain started up...

    I think I overpaid

Interesting dilemma when someone asks to borrow a machine. Have a new neighbor who asked to borrow my excavator. He had arranged a rental for a week but then saw mine. I told him I would bring mine over one day but only if I operated it. Did not want to be unneighborly but past experience guided...

    I think I overpaid

I took delivery of my new L6060 in December after ordering it in July. Got FEL, forks, cab, chains, loaded tires, defroster, upgraded alternator, commercial front snowblower., 3rd function, rear remote. Paid $83k. Financed at 0% for 4 years. Expensive... yes. But it has served me well, will...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Beautiful blue sky, low humidity, breezy day. Wind kept bugs away. Got out of work early and continued building a carry all for the 3 pt. The quality inspector had to check out the progress.
