Anybody use a 5’ Brush Hog on a BX?

Depending on which BX your are referring to. 18, 23 or 26HP. Would suggest to much for the 18 hp, might be OK with 23/26 hp. Depends on what material you are cutting. Light material, no problem. HEAVY stuff gonna have some issues. Should have front weight on/FEL if doing up hill mowing...

    Lift capacity on 3-pt bx1870

Adding a 3-pt ballast box to the rear of my BX1870 for additional weight for plowing snow. And "yes" it is coming. Inside box is approx. 5 CF. A cubic foot of concrete weights 150#, without splitting hairs. This means concrete would weight 750#, plus box of approx. 100#. 850# total...

    BX23S growling noise

My bx23s with approx. 110 hrs on it, on occasion when using the hoe, I can hear what seems to be a growling type noise, not real loud and only last a short time. NO affect on the operation. Don't hear it when using just the FEL. HST fluid level OK. Have made my dealer aware of this. Has...

Wong Backhoe controls on my BX23S?

Yes, UNLESS they changed them, on the NEWER models, with the redesigned grill, they are wrong. Also, see you have the R-14 rears. They were NOT available when I purchased my BS 23s last year.

Issues with valve stems with rim guard

What is the fluid? I suspect "rimguard " (beet juice)? There has been issues with the standard rubber valve stem. Should be good quality metal valve stem with rimguard. If windshield or RV fluid should not have been an issue. Take the weight off of tire. Some dealers are reluctant in...

Unfortunate that is what is going on currently. Here is where your dealer does the right thing or not by honoring his quote.

Front snow thrower and broom are two I can immediately think of. Maybe other aftermarket accessories.

    Extra traction advise?

Most dealer do not favor chaining up the front tires due to the added stress on the front driveline. Rear weight is always the best option. Rimguard will provide you the most weight of tire ballast without the possible damaging affects of CC. Be sure to use a good quality of metal valve...

    BX1870 running a rear 5' finish mower

Has anyone tried running a 5' rear finish mower with a BX1870? I once had a B1550DT and tried to run a Woods 5' finish rear mower and would not do it if heavier grass. The BX 1870 has a little more PT0 Hp, but not sure if enough to make a difference with the BX being a hydro and the B1550 was...

    Chain around the mower blade

Would suspect along with a bent blade/s, a spindle shaft/s, bearings, etc. may also be damaged. Deck could also be damaged some.

    RTV Sidekick Oil

I believe the sidekick is the newest side by side to complete with other manufactures in that class. I was always with the understand that your should use conventional oils for break-in purposes before switching to syn. Not sure if this is still the thinking. I believe the Rotella T6 is a...

    BX24 Add-on's

Pretty good size for your BX24 BH UNLESS you are moving real light material or ditch cleaning. I purchased a 16" bucket with my new BX23S which Kubota just started offering. Usually a 8" or 12" bucket was all that was available from Kubota. I also purchased a Bxpanded 6" trenching bucket...

Try to add wings on 6' snow blade.

Do you have a quick attach bucket on your FEL? If so, give some though to a snow pusher. Won't be able to angle it but will not have the windrowing as much as your blade. Don't know how large your parking lot is, but generally you are pushing straight. Just a though that something that might...

Bx24 Throttle Lever Handle Comes Off

The screen I am referring to is the black screen with the black knob just below the steering wheel. This area also houses the tractor battery, fuse box, etc., etc..

Bx24 Throttle Lever Handle Comes Off

There is an adjustment if you remove the screen. I believe you can loosen a nut or just lubricate the mechanism some. Don't get it to loose or throttle will not maintain its position.
