Just finished putting both back and front plates on today. A bit of a pain with the back plate (for me), the u-bolts in front are not easy to align, but once you do, easy from there. Front plate is not problem installing (10-15 minutes). Be sure to change your HST filter and first fuel filter...

I use the skid plate from Bro-tek. Comes with back and front options. Just the back plate allows mid-PTO use, and I believe some MMM options. Front plate removes the MMM possibility. http://www.bro-tek.com/skid_plate/

I like this idea, a strainer built into the opening of the tank. Easy to insert and remove, no more accidents (except water?). Will have to shop around for one up here in Canada...

Yup, weep hole. My BX2750D has a similar weep hole in the back/bottom. Only works if you store the blower tilted upwards a bit however... This prevents water from freezing into a block of ice in the bottom, which would shear your fan shear bolt if there was a large ice buildup.

Take two wrenches and just "crack" one of the threads behind the quick-connect connector. Do both connectors to be sure. Just a bit of pressure relief will remove all the built up pressure in the line. Simply re-tighten after. You may not even see much hydraulic oil come out...

Most Chinese bolts (un-branded) are about Grade 2, maybe a bit less. Start with Gr2 and if it keeps popping under the lightest load, maybe upgrade to Gr5. Bolts are cheap, repairs are not. The grove actually helps the shear by allowing space for the metal to "tear" All bolts when they shear...

My understanding is that the back wires are connected to the 20A fuse (as in BX25 series). Your backup camera will use very little power, probably 1A only. I would not worry about adding lights after, especially if you use LED lights. You can power both from that one circuit.
