    Another nothing burger

Mine once did a regen while bush hogging. I was running at PTO speed, regen light came on. No engine speed light. 8 minutes later, the regen light went out. It got funky and would not do a regen once. It requested parked regen, but that turned out OK.

L2501 temp question - first time diesel owner

I have dealt with diesel engines in trucks working in automotive HVAC and cooling. Without some intervention like lowering the airflow through the engine when cold, they take a long time to warm up. When under max loading, they require more cooling (rad/water pump) capacity than a similar sized...

FEL lift capacity would seem important (quick internet search): L-Series: 1200 lbs L-4701: 1400 lbs MX5400 & MX6000: 2310 lbs. M6060 & 7060: 3307 lbs How heavy is the stuff you need to lift?

    Electric Car in your future?

The EV heater I am familiar with (not Ford) has a max power draw of 5 KW. When the heater output is backed off (vehicle comfy), power consumption goes down. The minimum battery size in the F150 Lightning is 98 KW*HR. So the minimum Lightning battery could power the heater running at max output...

Sometimes you just have to say it...

Healthy debate can keep forums interesting. However, it is wise to avoid the use of logical fallacies (sounds like an oxymoron) in debate. The attached link lists 16 of them. I've noticed #1 come up often and #14 occasionally. https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/common-logical-fallacies

Kubota tractor overheating when fan replaced to electric. (Kubota G1900S (D722))

108 watts of power to fan motor, probably <90 watts moving air. That's just a butterfly wing flap compared to the belt driven fan. Ok, maybe I exaggerate some.

Kubota tractor overheating when fan replaced to electric. (Kubota G1900S (D722))

Just curious as to how you are controlling the fan. Does it get progressively faster as coolant temps go up?

Kubota tractor overheating when fan replaced to electric. (Kubota G1900S (D722))

What is the wattage of the electric fan at max speed? Which fan blade angles are more aggressive, belt driven or electric? For the electric fan, is there any short circuited air flow; ie., through the fan, but not the radiator? Point of reference for what it's worth: My Chevy Colorado 3.6L DI...

    OK gear heads

What is the ambient temperature when you are noticing this? What is the sun condition- sunny, dark, cloudy? What is the temperature of the cabin? Is it (subjectively) colder or warmer than your desired setting? Is your ambient temperature display on meter or screen correct or reasonable? Same...

    OK gear heads

It sounds like you have automatic HVAC. I am assuming that your engine is warmed up and you get no heat until you dial up past 80°F. There are 3 sensors that control the heat or cold output. In-car sensor: Located low in the dash. If this sensor is colder than your setpoint, it will boost the...

I blow them to the sides of the yard and bush hog them several times. The strong south wind blew most of them out of yard and over the hill the other day.
