    Old Computer Tech stuff

In 1984 I purchased a Tandy 1000 HX with two 3 1/2 inch floppy drives. No hard drive, no modem and a whopping 256k of RAM. No printer, no color monitor but a 9 inch monochrome monitor. I do not even remember it having a mouse! That darn thing cost me about $1100 at the time. I think a 20 meg...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

Looks great! I am addicted to my standard trail cams I have set up around the property. 5 to 6 depending on how healthy they stay. I do not go to the bars drinking or the casinos but game cams are my addiction. lol Really looking forward to the day I can log in here at home, and see a live...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

Thanks for your input ctfjr! I pretty much have it narrowed to this particular Reolink camera and was hoping that a member here on Orange Tractor talks has one and could give me a honest evaluation of it. This is pretty much the only forum I am active on. I am a bit wary of some of the YouTube...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

Thank for the suggestion on Mint Mobil NIW, I will check them out. GSD-Keegan, I did find and watch GP's video, still good information as that is basically the same cam , just that its WIFI instead of cellular. Rollwave, Thats great to know about ahead of time concerning T-Mobil and how...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

I notice a lot of the reviews of this particular Reolink camera are cameras that Reolink sent to the reviewer. I try and take those with a grain of salt, one of the reasons I came here! :). I am willing to spend the $10 a month to be able to "check" in on the property but that would not cover...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

The Reolink Go Pt, as far as my understanding, is cellular only, no WIFI built in or required.

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

Too far from an external power source so will be relying on the battery and solar panel. Where I intend to place it , it will have good sun, but not sure what happens in Dec and Feb when our sun is low and often have cloudy days. As far as signal I have good cellular coverage on the land. I...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

I am not sure if I watched GP's video or not, I will search for it. What drew me to this camera is the pan and tilt feature also. I think about $265 plus shipping , taxes plus the SIM card. How long have you had your camera in operation? I notice with my trail cams on average after about...

Considering a cellular security camera, any one with Reolink experience?

I am considering a Reolink Go PT battery/solar powered security camera for my land. This camera requires a data only SIM card, has a battery plus comes with a solar panel. I have looked at several YouTube videos on this camera but would love to hear from any users here on Orange Tractor...

New guy here, FEL digging question

My property has somewhat of an interesting history. Geologically located in what is known as the central sands area. Late 1800's to about 1930 was a diary farm. How they made a living in this sandy soil is beyond me. Sometime after WWII a Christmas tree company purchased the land...

New guy here, FEL digging question

Couple of pictures of the ditch I dug with the L2501 and bucket. No tooth bar but I would like to try one. I have always felt that I have a pretty good handle on what is working a machine as designed and what is 'abuse". In no way did I think I crossed the line into abuse when digging this...

New guy here, FEL digging question

Mid last summer I dug a ditch for a 4 inch drain line 280 foot long with the 66“ light duty bucket on my L2501. I was delighted in the depth I was able to achieve and the amount of time spent. I feel the tractor handled it without any undue wear and tear. BUT, and this is a big but, my soil...

Bolt on/weld on front bucket grapple

I also hope someone posts here with real world experience with this particular brand. I , like Fried1765 have a Landpride grapple for my L2501 but having a thumb for those times I have my bucket on would be really handy for myself.

Best way to find value for my B7100 ?

When I purchased my L2501 I was asked by several family, neighbors and friends if my B7100 was for sale. As Dan did, I hung onto it and super glad I did. Its perfect for certain jobs and allows me to keep those hours off the L2501. I think if there is a way financially and space wise that you...

Native species planting, habitat creation restoration projects

This is a link to a video that was shot on my habitat project. Brendan Woodall is the private lands biologist that I worked with. He mentions the parcel is 28 acres, but that is the total of what we planted in natives. Total parcel is 56. watch
