BX23S dealer trade or private sale?

    Good decision.

Kubota L3200 4WD abuse on paved roads

My view. Unlikely to be mechanically damaged in that time. Do the check @North Idaho Wolfman suggested, but otherwise unless you have some actual indication of damage, assume there's none. I would consider replacing the tires if your use has traction issues. If it doesn't, then so long as...

Is this tractor too well used?

That first L looks pretty good to me. 4,500 hours is high-ish, but there's lots with more hours than that still going strong. Sure, you might get problems, but at the price you're not that much out of pocket. I think your odds are reasonably good on it if you don't abuse it, and if it's running...

    New tractor buyer

I like ballast boxes. They're cheap, they work well, they sit close to the back of the machine so you don't bang them into things, you can take them off when you're not using them. Even if you get wheel weights.....think about a ballast box.

    Kubota RTV XG850 Sidekick Experience?

My view is the RTV has a particular use - for someone who wants a machine that can pull, that is economical, and wants to run attachments etc. But has terrain that means they can't/won't go fast. If you want to go fast (or, to be fair, you don't want to go slow) you really need a gas machine I...

    My new (used) Kubota L3200

The 4wd is set up so the front tires turn a little faster than the rear (even after allowing for the different sizes). This helps the tractor to turn on wet ground, and I guess is better than the fronts being a bit slower (it's probably impossible given wear etc for them to be exactly the same)...

    Another Kubota/tractor newbie here

The B7100/7200/8200 will work fine enough for what you describe, and will run a heavier cutter than a BX will. Also probably cheaper than any BX. It's an old tractor, and reasonably small, so be realistic about what it can do. But they do run for years for many people without trouble - they're...

Will an L3902HST do what I need?

I think width is key when mowing 14 acres. I still think that to go wide you need to go away from a rotary cutter - a flail perhaps, or I guess a batwing which is a sort of rotary cutter. I'm a big fan of going slower and wider, which often means running a bigger cutter than the maker recommends...

Thoughts on Upgrade for my B2301

The bucket will just work - the adaptor pins on to the loader arms where the bucket used to go (the pin spacing matches exactly). It then provides a new quick attach set of pins that are the same, but because they're now not a pivot point, they can have pins that are easy to insert/remove...

Thoughts on Upgrade for my B2301

I have a B2601 without SSQA and I have pallet forks. So...one option is to do that. I have 3ph pallet forks, that I had a local engineer modify to also have holes to take the pins from my loader (he basically just matched the pin spacing in the bucket). You can actually knock out the pins on...

You'd need a grapple as well to stack brush.....

    B2601 or lx 2610

The LX is not dramatically heavier, and it has larger tires. I suspect the ground pressure is similar. If you are getting a 60 inch deck, then perhaps you don't need to go to the LX. But again, you seem to have uses for a backhoe, and I think the LX backhoe is substantially more capable. Have...

BX23S dealer trade or private sale?

Depends how fast you want to move. One option is to get a price from the dealer, then list it on marketplace or wherever with "dealer has offered me a price, at the end of the week I'm taking his price unless someone gives me $X". Where $X might be dealer's offer plus 10% or 15%. If someone...

    B2601 or lx 2610

The LX is a ground engaging deck, the B is a floating/suspended deck. I personally believe that in a larger deck (72 inch on the LX) the ground engaging is better, because I think it is less likely to scalp. I'd make my decision based on the size/capability of the machine, not the method of the...

Which one to buy and why: MX5400HST or L4060HST-LE?

The MX is a more powerful machine. You have a BX for small tasks. So the MX is probably the right choice. I'd buy the Grand-L with cab probably.

Want a new tractor. Looking for suggestions.

I'd buy the L4060. The Grand-L is a more luxury machine, flash transmission, lots of more luxury features. Cab is a good idea, depending on your climate. But it's not really about me. For your specific use, an MX is probably better. More tractor, bigger cutter on the back. Both of them will...

Want a new tractor. Looking for suggestions.

If you're only mowing and doing a bit of loader work, an older machine would be appropriate. Again in the grand-L range, or an MX or M. If you're mowing reasonably regularly then a flail is practical. You can run a wider flail than you can a rotary cutter, and a wider mower lets you get more...

    Which Kubota is right?

Very nice looking machine, you're going to be super happy. I like the chain hook on the bucket - I looked at the chain and went "he's gonna scratch his shiny bucket" then looked closer.....and now I'm jealous. The hydraulic fittings go together a lot easier if you relieve pressure before...

Well… Heck and a half, make that double heck. A follow. up…

L2502 is a good machine, and a bit bigger. Pick the machine you're comfortable with. Don't be shy to look at other brands too, the Kiotis seem popular and different models have quite different operator stations. What you're looking for may be in their range.

    Insurance (State Farm)

Because the insurance company is useless, as they all are. He could go to a different insurance company, or he could just give them the info they asked for.
