Hydraulic outlets on B2601 for log splitter

They can order. It'll take time. The top one looked standard, and they can order that. The one on the side he reckoned wasn't bspp, and didn't know what it was. How do I go about establishing exactly what banjo body size I need? I guess I can take it apart and measure with calipers, and reuse...

Hydraulic outlets on B2601 for log splitter

So, no my hose shop does not have BSPP banjos, and they reckon one of them isn't even BSPP, and potentially UNC? Certainly they think it's a bit obscure, and don't have it. Their recommendation is that they just cut up the hard pipe, and use the fittings off each end. We know they work. I see I...

Hydraulic outlets on B2601 for log splitter

I believe SUDT is synthetic, UDT is mineral. So if the fluid you have is synthetic it's probably something like SUDT by another name. I believe what we get in NZ is all mineral. I doubt it's because they can't get synthetic, I suspect it's because they think NZers wouldn't spend rthe money for...

Hydraulic outlets on B2601 for log splitter

Very nice thank you, that all makes sense. I figured I wouldn't worry about the oil, I'm close to a service on my tractor anyway and will replace the fluids. Just amusing to me all the debates on here about how you have to use SUDT in your machine, but as soon as you hook up an attachment your...

Hydraulic outlets on B2601 for log splitter

@TheOldHokie: my splitter should arrive tomorrow, and when it does I will take the hoses off it, and the power beyond hose off my loader, and go to the hydraulic hose man to get appropriate changes. The splitter looks like it comes with two male ends, I can't see from the pictures exactly what...

    Engine locked up

The OP did whatever he was going to do on the day he first posted. It'd be interesting to know how it worked out. People don't wait three days to see all the comments before they get on with fixing their machine. He really only needed to know it was the glow plugs to remove. Most of this...

    Engine locked up

Excellent. When do you put the glow plugs back in? Give it 30 seconds, call it done? Or when nothing more is coming out? Or when you feel lucky?

    Engine locked up

I always feel like these threads almost give enough information, but not quite enough. I think my summary of what others have said is: 1. Rollover can lead to liquid in the cylinders. Liquid doesn't compress, so if there is more liquid in there than fits in the combustion space, if you turn it...

Guilty and Convicted of Kubota Abuse

You have Kubota SUDT. Everyone seems to agree diesel oil is diesel oil, so the Shell is fine. Mobil grease is fine. Belts and hoses nobody would care about. However, filters, now that's gonna be a problem. I'm not sure if you get credit for getting 5/6 correct, and therefore a discount on your...

    mx5400 vs m5660

That's a good machine. Grand L, and a cab. Hydrostatic or glide shift?

I just bought my first tractor!

I've always greased my loader with regular grease. I use high speed grease on most things, because my mower and my chipper both need it (in my mind), because they both spin at high speed. I figure my loader won't mind using it too. I don't use the loader all that much, so it's probably getting...

    BX1880 Snowblowing

The BX series have different displacement in each power level, it's not tuning. The BX2680 engine may be the B2301 motor running at higher revs (hence the slightly higher output).

    Expensive hydraulic filters

I always figure that the Kubota ones aren't all that expensive. There are cheaper after market, but they're typically cheaper in both senses of that word. There are quality after market filters, but they cost about the same as the Kubota ones.

BX2380 mower deck won’t lock out on “top”

A bit more height. On my B2601 it sometimes won't go into top. Top is quite a bit higher than 4. When my mower isn't all the way up it grabs the sill as I drive into my shed.

    Looking at an L6060HSTC

May be just a typo. May be they quoted you the wrong loader, and when it comes time to pick up they'll say "we made a mistake, you need to pay a bit more." Maybe they're actually putting the LA805 on it - either because they don't know any better, because they're trying to hit a price point for...

    BX1880 Snowblowing

The difference in price between a BX1880 and a BX2380 isn't much. It's quite a bit more power. Like all these decisions, it'll do the job, just slower. So you won't be unhappy as such with a BX1880, it'll be awesome and you'll be glad you bought it. You just might be a bit happier with the...

    Bought a Kioti Hx1115

Orange is orange. :-) If you ask us what tractor to buy, the answer is Kubota. But we're always keen to look at photos of any new tractor.

I just bought my first tractor!

Rotary cutter. Chipper. Tiller. Flail. Fertiliser spreader (although electric ones are cheaper). Backup generator for your house. Lots of things you might accidentally buy one day.

    Need Advice on Attachments, Etc.

I usually find dealers to be pretty straight - they know what machine is useful for most folks, and they make money on the servicing and selling you attachments - it's more of an ongoing relationship than a car dealer would be. Not all of them are great, but many are. Don't be scared to go in...

    Need Advice on Attachments, Etc.

Good advice to look closely at a B2601. I moved from a BX to a B2601, it really isn't much wider or longer (inches only), but it's taller and quite a bit more capable. If you aren't mowing (which the BX excels at) then look closely at a B.
