    Quick Hitch choice

Did you buy the QH hooks from Kubota? I don't see them listed on the parts look up. Thanks

    Quick Hitch choice

For me on my MX-6000 I just have stayed away from a quick hitch because of having too many different Cat one and Cat two pieces of equipment that a quick hitch wouldn't play with nice. Over time I may change some over to accept a quick hitch and go that way as all my big tractors run quick...

    Bush hog for mx6000

I had a Rhino TW-84 that was setting in the shed. Its a heavy built mower. Chains in the front and chains in the back and is set up for Cat 2-3 quick hitch. I thought I would try it on my MX-6000 before I got it out and sold it in July. I mostly use my big bat wing on a 150 HP tractor. The...

    R1 tire availability

It must be they were trying to put a different size tire and wheel that normal doesn't come on a L4701 on it. When I was tractor shopping back in June I looked at a L4701 that had the R-1 tires on it and they weren't even close to rubbing on the fenders. I ended up with MX-6000 with R-4's on it.

    SSQA FEL-mounted snow blades

I don't think I have even owned a three point blade in thirty years. Pushed snow for years with a FEL or a skid loader with a home brewed Myers truck plow on a skid loader plate. Sold it about five years ago and now use a ten foot snow bucket on a skid loader. Kubota MX-6000 will just set in the...

    Rotary mower size

I think you would find a 84 inch mower on a L4701 in CRP would be a load. I did some CRP mowing with my MX-6000 and a Rhino TW-84 mower and it was a load on the MX-6000 in CRP. It handled well enough but I had to blow the rad and oil cooler out a lot.

The truth about 3-point PTO rear push versus rear pull snow blowers?

I think different parts of the country are different but in my area a pull behind normally doesn't work well. When we use blowers around here you may have a drift that is two to five feet deep and several hundred of feet long. Pull behinds don't shine then. You want a front mount or a push into...

    case drain remote

You probably want to do a little more reading on case drains. We run them a lot on skid loader and on the bigger tractors pulling planters with big hyd motors. All of them say to have zero back pressure on the case drain and go direct to the sump. By putting a T in your loader return line you...

    Tractorless! Help!

I would give the MX's a good look. I started out looking at a L2501 and then a L4701 and ended up buying a MX-6000 back in June. I use my Cat one equipment on the MX all the time. I am glad I spent a little more and got the MX. I think with all your hills you will like the MX a lot better.

    Best oil?

If possible I would find out what the previous owner used and use that. With that said I have used Rotella out on my farm for forty years and never had a failure because of oil. Keeping it full of oil and changing it is going to kept your Kubota happy.

    Marketing a used MX5400

I agreed with this statement. I bought a new MX-6000HST ROPS FEL back in June. I looked in the used market for a low hour tractor and FEL and the prices were pretty high I felt and the tractors were moving. The Agco the MX replaced sold without me even listing it. A friend was out and saw the...

    Buying help - 1995 L35 or 2008 L39

I hope you get your land deal firmed up. For years I got by with peoples cast off's on tractors and equipment as we were investing in buying land instead of new shine'y paint. Being a maintenance person I could always do my own work. Just keep shopping after the land deal is done the right...

2 or 4 blade bush hog

I have ran bush hog type mowers for well over forty years and currently run a seven foot and a fourteen foot model. Both run two blades per disk. I have a buddy that bought a fourteen foot years back with four blades per disk. We both run about the same HP tractor on the mowers and mow pretty...

    Buying help - 1995 L35 or 2008 L39

My take on this is get you funds ready. Pack your clothes and food and spend a week on the road with the truck and trailer and go look at the L39 and L35. I have drove many times 10-12 hours one way to get a piece of equipment. Usually you can weed out the BS on the phone and dig down to the...

    Advice on new tractor purchase - MX6000, M7060, M5?

I would give a HST MX-6000 a good look. I bought one back in June open station as it gets used a lot on the farm for spot spraying in the summer. I have been using a seven foot rotary mower on it a lot the last couple weeks mowing places I can't get into with my big cabbed tractor and the bat...

You've heard it before....help me pick!

I just upgraded my farm general use tractor that was a AGCO ST-25 because I wanted a loader. I started out looking at a L2501 HST with FEL to stay away from Tier four. It got sold so I looked at a L4701 HST with FEL . It got sold. I ended up finding a MX-6000 HST with a FEL at a good price. As...

Adding mirrors so I don't have to turn in my seat!

I have spent a bunch of time this week with my MX-6000 and a seven foot rotary mower mowing around fields and traveling on the roads to other farms and pastures. I need to get some mirrors mounted. A lot of good ideas in this thread.

    Rear mount snowblowers

I had a couple of three point mounted snow blowers over the years the first was a single stage it didn't work well when the snow was real wet and heavy. Had a eight foot two stage Lundel for years and it worked well. I wouldn't have another three point snow blower as I get tired of turning...

    Are you ready for Winter?

Not even close to being ready for winter. Have been working some firewood lately. Need to get more done. Getting time to get the harvest equipment ready. Hope its at least Christmas before winter ready shows up here. We had a lot of snow and cold after the first of the year last winter. MX-6000...
