Anyone ever try a brush hog with 4 of those big cutter blades?
If so did 4 blades chop up the brush better?

It's a turbo L185 now.
If it's less than knee high random weeds I can go over in 6th gear, if it's chest high tumble weeds then it's 1st gear all the way.

I have ran bush hog type mowers for well over forty years and currently run a seven foot and a fourteen foot model. Both run two blades per disk. I have a buddy that bought a fourteen foot years back with four blades per disk. We both run about the same HP tractor on the mowers and mow pretty much the same ground a lot of road ditches, CRP and field edges. I can's see where the four blade does a nicer job of mowing the only thing I see is when he hits something in the ditch or just from wear he has twice as many blades to change and buy than I do. He said the next mower will have two blades per disc again.
