    Plastic jugs

The #2 is HDPE which just about everything "jug like" is made from. It will CONTAIN the fuels (but the lawyers told me to say it is not proper to misuse containers!) Safety Dispensing Cans | Type: Spill-Proof CARB Gas Can | Capacity (Gal.): 1.00 | Material: High Density Polyethylene | Color...

    Farm field repairs

Hey Wildfire - good stuff. Isn't it amazing what a few HP can do compared to human strength? Two things always amaze me: small pieces of fairly thin steel can hold so much force and a HP or 2 can rip up large pieces of fairly thick steel. Not complaining but do you know your pictures are...

Zero Turn on 25 degree slope? Looking for advice.

You will probably really miss the brake pedal when going down hill, it is not natural to just sit there or pull back on handles to slow or stop. You can get used to it but it takes time. When I was a teenager, my dad bought a zero turn mower and I had to use it on fairly steep hills and did...

    Landscape rake?

You can get frame type chain harrows to pick it up and help move them about. See the link below for an example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJXskaMwLQ4 I am surprised that it won't dig in assuming that you are pulling it in the most aggressive direction. You can also add weight onto...

    differential lock lever

You may be able to make a handle with some type of fork that will operate the differential lock pedal by pushing the handle forward. Then you may have to come up with a way to hold that handle in position, if you need to use both hands.

Be gentle, new guy here with questions :)

There are also pallet movers for the rear 3 point hitch that can lift more weight - it that is any longer a concern - see link below. May also avoid having bees blowing in your face if you move them very far! Not real sure why other posters were so concerned about having the bees in front...

    Steering wheel removal

Glad you got the steering wheel off! Not sure how to answer your questions but you can read through the articles that are here (see link below) about the steering box repair. As to the play, there is not much support at the top of the steering shaft. On mine it is just the sheet metal tube...

    Steering wheel removal

I replaced my steering wheel (due to its level of decay) with one from Weaver's that looks very similar to the original. If you can't get yours to pop off you may have to resort to cutting it off (carefully of course). I think that you will be able to get it to pop since it is tapered shaft...

    Ads in the way

See this post for where you can check the level of the transmission fluid. It has a picture that shows the location which is near the clutch pedal on the side of the transmission - above the front of the foot board on the clutch side. It has a raised boss with probably a hex bolt and a gasket...

    BX2360 less than 100hrs, running rough/stalling

Since your trouble started after removing the FEL, perhaps you cut, crushed or bent a fuel line while taking that off. I would look closely at the fuel lines to ensure they do not look damaged. There have also been reports of the flexible (rubber?) fuel lines that are collapsing in the...

    Steering wheel removal

The end of the steering shaft is tapered (also keyed) so it may have been over tightened and will be hard to get off. I will try to go through each step in case you don't have some of them done: 1) there is a cover over the center of the steering wheel (hopefully). It is about 3 inches in...

A question on the subject of metal composition and structure.

The first way you can check is called dye penetrant check. Magnaflux makes one called Magnavis, the one I am familiar with is SpotCheck. You can buy kits of two separate spray cans, one the dye and the other a developer. Basically you spray the dye on, let it "soak" a bit and then wipe it...

    5 ft Roto Tiller Operation

OK there are three RPMS to discuss - the one selected for the PTO and the one for the tractor engine, and the rated RPM of the implement (this RPM is not changeable) Assuming that your tractor has multiple PTO speeds - some do, some don't - select the gear that produces the correct RPM for the...
