I picked up several 5 gallon plastic jugs from a guy, that contained simple green.. The bottom of the jugs have a triangle with I think the number 2 inside,,, What I want to know is will these jugs hold up to gas kerosene and diesel fuel? Or will they leak through the pours or just melt?

I like real jugs myself... Oopps wrong forum:D

You should not store fuel, especially gasoline in a unapproved container. You "could" get by with the K1 or diesel, since they are not flammable, but why? Real approved fuel can are not that much money.

The #2 is HDPE which just about everything "jug like" is made from. It will CONTAIN the fuels (but the lawyers told me to say it is not proper to misuse containers!)
