Who else buys tools/things for the explicit reason of "Because it's too cheap to pass up"?

I don't intend to disrespect my elders but I think you should try Hadacol .

My trailer won't carry 14k but I can load yours to capacity with "parts tractors" alone.

Fixing hole in side of block

Baa-humbug , providing you maintain a firm grip on the pucker string a bit of recklessness can add excitement to otherwise monotonous work.

Fixing hole in side of block

Rather than fasten battery cables to one place then another I've found it much faster to strip insulation from ends of cable then start touching ends here and there until I find a combination that works. I have to admit I do it partly to entertain and impress neighbors and passers-by...

Who else buys tools/things for the explicit reason of "Because it's too cheap to pass up"?

Nearly 84 and children will deal with it ! I need to friend your children on Facebook to make sure I get in on it !!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Oh wait, I'm 80 so if you are in good shape you might get my stuff before I have a chance to get yours. I think I have the solution...

Fixing hole in side of block

I'm blown away Joe. I would never have thought to peen the pin so it can't fall out. Cotter keys and other clips are always getting loose and falling in dirt where they can't be found. Think of money that could be saved by mfgrs if they stopped buying keys and clips and peened pins. And...

Who else buys tools/things for the explicit reason of "Because it's too cheap to pass up"?

SOoo RW Scissors , I see the little woman is on your case again😬 for buying things to replace some you already own two of but can't find for all the other 2 and 3 of a kinds piled on top of them. Now you want your brothers in orange to tell her it's normal in hopes she'll give you access to the...

    Sorry Newbie Question

#1 Could be throw-out bearing, pilot bushing, little cv type coupling on pilot shaft,busted/cracked pressure plate amongst other things. Unfortunately it's next to imposable to inspect or troubleshoot without splitting tractor from transmission. On some but not sure about B2150,piliot shaft...

The brief answer to that question is yes but I'm not saying that's your problem. The piston AND flywheel of four stroke engines come to tdc TWICE on ever cycle, once on compression then again on exhaust. Pay attention to marks on cam gear and injection gear.

Tire pressure (max PSI not shown on sidewall?!)

I've never seen a tire that didn't have recommended inflation listed on side wall. Is it possible your tire is designed to preform various tasks by changing inflation and that precludes a standard psi? It's common to see tires on say a backhoe with far greater psi than a similar size on an ag...

    Oodles and gobs of pictures

Let's see... now that we agree on all that , are members (lifetime or otherwise) permitted to ask a question without causing backlash ? Some fail to grasp while others don't agree but some of us prescribe to "when in Rome do as the Romans do" and that often necessitates a question.

Don't beat yourself up over this. What you inherited is known as "a basket case" and less than one in 1k mechanics will touch one for any price. Since you say it's a friend, I don't blame you for trying it but I hope your friend doesn't blame you if it requires partial dismantling and...

    Oodles and gobs of pictures

It's good to know we are welcome to post large and multiple pictures. Now that i think about it forums that limit number and size have more members and likely smaller budget. The sites only leave pictures in posts for a short time to keep storage available. Add the fact some members have...

    Pond dredging Project

At the risk of sounding like I don't have anything to say other than repeating myself, try to be realistic about what a 22 horsepower tractor weighing less than 2k pounds is capable of. What would be your definition of "working well"? The chore you have in mind is traditionally done by...

    rotary cutter question, please

You didn't ask but the advice is free. Almost as important as changing gear lub is keeping underside and topside of deck clean and free of grass and caked dirt. Organic matter collects then holds moisture next to deck causing it to rust then eventually break through. Some go as far as...

    Pond dredging Project

Your imagination might be running wild. You say your soil is hard clay then say bottom is gravel along shore and covered with 12" muck farther out. You say there's not much vegetation but you think a rake will make a difference. You can drag that rake through pond all day and still not...

When Did You Start Feeling Old?

I think I was doing fine until I saw a little boy sitting on a park bench crying. I looked around and didn't see anyone else in the vicinity so I felt compelled to make sure the little guy wasn't injured. I asked him "what's the matter son" and he replied "I can't run with the big boys"...
