    Attachments for BX23S backhoe

I actually surprised myself when I decided to spend the extra money. But then I remembered when I had a package temporarily disappear into FedEx's distribution center for a week. And I thought "do I want to go through that again when I'm buying back-ordered items that I really want?" And the...

    Attachments for BX23S backhoe

There's a FEDEX distribution center near Portland Oregon that has a terrible reputation. UPS allows you to direct a shipment to a UPS store, which is really convenient for me. On a $1,500 order, spending an additional $25 for peace of mind was an easy decision, even for a cheap bastard like me.

    Attachments for BX23S backhoe

It really was nice ... gave me that "buy american" feeling that's so enjoyable. Last year I purchased some American-made water nozzles and the design quality just wasn't there ... very disappointing, so it's nice to see the quality of the BXpanded products. I've only received the trencher bucket...

    Attachments for BX23S backhoe

I just had a great interaction with BXpanded customer support. I received a shipping notice e-mail with a FEDEX tracking number when I had selected and paid for UPS. So I called customer support within 30 minutes of receiving the e-mail. The woman went out to the shipping department and...

FYI -- I received the 6" trencher bucket last week. They shipped it a couple of days after my order, even though the web site is showing a 4-6 week lead time. I won't get to use it for a while, but it looks nicely made. This being first implement, my initial inclination after unboxing was to...

    Bx23s snow plow

Do you mean having the plow mounted to the arms? Which allows you to push the snow over the previous mound? I ask because I have seen plows that actually mount to the FEL bucket. (note: I just added that fourth option to my original list)

    Bx23s snow plow

What's a "HIS version"? I don't know that acronym And is "4 pin" the usual way buckets are attached to the loader arms? I'm assuming two pins for the up/down and two pins for the tilt

    Bx23s snow plow

My original post wasn't clear, I am currently trying to understand the options for front-mounted plows. Eventually I'll start comparing types of plows, pushers, blowers, and with @i7win7 message, rear-mounted blades. With that in mind, I am aware of the three options I listed (direct to FEL...

    Bx23s snow plow

I'd like to bump this thread. I have a BX23S and am starting to think about snowplowing/snow removal for next winter. I'm trying to compile a relatively complete list of options. First, in terms of snow plows, what are the mounting options? non-SSQA mount to FEL arms (assuming one does not...

Well you convinced me ... I just placed an order for the quick change. I was going to wait, but with the long lead time and world events, it seems like I should get in the queue. I'd hate to realize that I could really use it and then have it be months out.

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

Good to know. As I said, I'm going to reopen that other thread, since it's exactly the topic I want to start digging into.

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

My mistake ... that was around $9,500 US. It included both the 4 point hitch and the k-connect, plus a bunch of options.

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

Ok, my brain is starting to get mushy ... I've been reading this other thread you posted on. I think I will restart that thread since it's specifically about BX23S snow plows.

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

Thanks Dusty. This is really helpful. I just had a facepalm moment ... yeah, I think if Kubota is selling an FEL-mounted snow plow then probably it's ok. I feel compelled to acknowledge your wife's accident and the long-term emotional impact of it. That sounds terrifying and I can see why 35...

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

Yeah, now we're getting into the real meat of the discussion, which is a repurposing of this thread, but was the subject I eventually want to get to...which is what is the right snow removal device for my situation. It would be a blower or a plow, but probably not a pusher (thanks for the...

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

Thanks for the info. It's too bad the "4 pt" system didn't use an SSQA attachment mechanism instead of a Kubota proprietary. Don't know if that would have been feasible.

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

Hi Dusty. Have you ever had a situation where you get concerned about how the FEL arms are loaded when using the SSQA snowplow? If you were going to just have a snowplow, would you pick the SSQA version or the K Connect, and why?

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

This is helpful as it gives me an anchor point for when I start exploring this more carefully. Thank you.

Four point hitch vs SSQA on BX23S

I recently acquired a BX23S and am starting to think about snow removal. Before I get into the pros and cons of plow versus blower, I want to understand how these get mounted to the tractor. I'm a bit confused. My front-end loader has the SSQA option, but I read somewhere that the FEL arms...
