    Exhaust Fumes

Almost immediately after buying my B1750 in 1993 (1994?), I turned the exhaust from vertical to horizontal so as to not damage it when driving under trees, etc. I cut the once vertical pipe shorter and installed it such that it discharges to the left. No issues. Over the years, I've owned...

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Doubt that your forklift is reformer equipped as is the engine in the B3350.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Agreed, but if my information is correct, Kubota rep has not been involved. Don't believe that KCS has any data from dealer other than what dealer stated on phone.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Yes, aware of that, but logic is inadvertently incorrect in previous statement.

HST vs. gear drive for various types of work.

Gear drive transmissions work well with rototillers only if the lowest gear(s) are slow enough for ground conditions. Vintage Ford tractors with SOS transmissions are quite suitable for rototiller work whereas those with 4 speed and 5 speed transmissions are not except in rare conditions.

HST vs. gear drive for various types of work.

Agreed, but CVT is not the same as HST. CVTs are used in high HP tillage tractors rather than HSTs because of the inherent inefficiencies of HSTs, which are not inherent in high HP CVTs.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Agreed, and there is no way to know what dealer told Kubota.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Agreed, but I believe you meant "without" Digimaster. 100% agreement regarding dealer error(s) and expectations.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Yes, it can be done due to mechanical injection but, as previously stated, it is not simply a matter or removing the reformer and DPF and bending up a new exhaust pipe. Nor does removing the reformer/DPF system solve the immediate problem, which is the $5,700 bill which must be paid before the...

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Elimination of DPF/reformer system requires more than removal of parts. ECM must be "faked-out" to believe all is well or engine will be shut down. Foreign made delete devices are available, or at least once were, but I know of anyone with any first-hand experience with such.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

No. Regen occurs without operator intervention providing certain conditions, e.g., engine temperature, inhibit button NOT pushed, etc., have been met. Yes, reformer-based DPF system has been very problematic since roll-out, which is why Kubota redesigned the system, did away with the 3350 and...

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

FWIW, stripped "bolts" are not plastic but, rather, steel. No way to be certain, but I suspect the damage to the sensors was due to tech incompetence. ECM controls regens and will shut down engine in certain conditions. ECM will not allow engine to overheat due to clogged DPF. There are, IIRC...

HST vs. gear drive for various types of work.

One can do so, but intentionally slipping the clutch will shorten its life.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

The reformer is the device that injects fuel and air into the exhaust stream to raise the temperature during regens. Yes, they have been problematic from day one. Yes, improvements were made during the production run and the newer ones are better. OPs tractor will almost certainly continue to...

Bingo. I believe that dealer is trying to protect itself at the owner's expense.

    L3902 does not.

Might be able to find a desperate attorney who will take the individual case. Virtually no chance that any tort attorney will attempt a class action in this case.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

As previously stated, repairs should be covered under federally mandated 5-year emissions warranty. If, as I have been told, failure occurred within the 5-year period, PSB is irrelevant in this case.
