Chances are the hydraulic pump lost prime. That the suction line off the hydraulic pump and put some hydraulic oil in the pump. The pump should pick it up and start working. Don't run the tractor long if it doesn't start pumping.

After removing the screws from the pump remove the outside cover. Sounds like you're already there. Now push in on the diaphragm and push the metal plunger on the back side in and rotate 90°. The port on the regulator should be plumbed to return back to the tank. This will be the flow going over the pressure regulator. Pump discharge / pressure well go into the end port and the other port on the side will be your work port to your nozzle or boom.

I would say the bevel gears need to be replaced. I have rebuilt drives ready to bolt on or parts. You need to tear completely down and be sure you don't have anything else broken.

Your tractor has dry outboard brakes. That is where I would check for your problem. Especially if it has been sitting for some time.

As Russell said not a difficult job. Once the pump is removed you will have to remove the adapter plate that is between the engine block and the pump. Four bolts and it should come right off.

As rbargeron said the shaft is probably ok.. Most likely the bearing have failed. I would open the drive up and inspect everything. Check the housing close. If you need parts I have plenty.
