    4ft or 5ft brush hog on BX25D

I use a 54" Woods finish mower behind my BX2660, but it doesn't hang back nearly as far as a 60" brush hog would. I think you made the right choice on the 48" brush hog.

    Mechanical Thumbs and Ripper Tooth

You will love the ripper tooth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    8' disc behind L3540?

Probably. Depends on how much it weighs, what size disc pans it has, how aggressively you set the gang angle and how deep you try to run it. If it's a heavy duty model with 22" or larger disc pans, then it is definitely too much for your tractor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mechanical Thumbs and Ripper Tooth

I can't help you with the thumb, but I have the Bro-tek ripper tooth on my BX-23 backhoe and it has been invaluable. Couldn't live without it. And it appears to be indestructible. I think Michigan Iron and Equipment makes one too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trade a new bota deck or sell and buy a new 3pt deck....?

I bought a used Woods rear finish mower and I haven't used the MMM on my BX2660 since. I've thought about selling mine but, like you, I'm not gonna give it away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rotary Cutter and Bucket for my MX5800

How many acres will you be cutting? I agree that a 7' cutter is huge and awkward. I'd much rather use an 8' twin spindle. Will a 6' one even cover your tire tracks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Boom Pole

Be aware that TSC sells two different versions. One is heavy duty and costs more but has a higher lift rating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Flat tire-no hole in tube?

I had that happen on a valve stem on a BMW motorcycle once . . . right as I pulled into a small town after being out alone in the middle of nowhere by myself. Got the tire off, took it to a tire shop and they vulcanized it to fix it.

    Road travel

3mph? Put it in High range, throttle it up to full throttle and mash the HST pedal to the floor. That will give you your max speed.

    First time tractor owner advice?

One important tip: If you are pulling on stumps or other really heavy objects, only pull from the drawbar. Do NOT pull from the 3 point hitch. There have been tragic incidents where people have pulled an (almost) immovable object from the 3 point hitch and the tractor flipped backwards on top...

    BXpanded has a ripper!

I would buy one but I've already got a Bro-Tek ripper tooth for my BX23. It is well built, works really well and has been one of my best purchases. I've got the BXpanded Piranha Tooth Bar. I have to assume the new BXpanded ripper tooth is equally well built, so it should be a great addition...

Unknow Orange Gray Market Rotary Tiller

There is a dealer on I-30 in Mesquite that sells all sorts of gray market stuff. Visit them and see if they can identify it and get parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil Filter prices

I really don't understand the mindset of buying a $12,000 machine and worrying about saving $5.00 on an oil filter that probably gets changed twice a year at most. I would assume that if money was that tight you wouldn't wave bought an RTV900 in the first place. Sent from my iPhone using...

Brush Hog-- Slip Clutch or Sheer Pin?

One more thing. A huge problem with adjusting slip clutches these days is that PITA round plastic cover that most manufacturers use on the input shaft of the gear box. It has a couple inspection "doors" in it, but they do not provide nearly enough room to get in there and loosen the nuts, draw...

Brush Hog-- Slip Clutch or Sheer Pin?

I've got a slip clutch on my Rhino 172. I used it recently for the first time this season, so I adjusted it first. The procedure (at least on the Rhino) is to: 1. Loosen all the nuts that compress the springs that put pressure on the clutch discs. 2. Draw a line across the slip clutch...
