Do you see Golden Eagles in your area too?For those that take eagle pictures I found an age chart that I thought was interesting and 2 pics from last summer.

I was going to ask about Golden Eagles also.Do you see Golden Eagles in your area too?
No Golden Eagles unfortunately. Lots of Owl species but getting a good picture is difficult. The odd daytime picture of them on a power pole or fence post now and again but mostly nocturnal. Got a video last night of an owl spooking two bucks at the oats but not worth sharing.Do you see Golden Eagles in your area too?
I have one that looks exactly like this that's pretty much taken up residence in my lilacs right next to the house. There's bird feeders hanging there and that hawk lives off the small birds that come to the bird feeders. I watch it devour at least a couple birds a day. There's huge windows fronting the lilacs and that hawk totally ignores me as I walk back and forth, or stand there watching him, from 10 feet away.and a couple from this am.
fat little bugger! Before we came down to Florida for the winter I did exactly the same thing. I took a branch and 'planted' it in the ground so I could hang a feeder in front of a window in my study. Sure did attract a lot of birds in a hurry - but no hawks.I have one that looks exactly like this that's pretty much taken up residence in my lilacs right next to the house.
